I'm 75. another years has gone by, so now I am 75,and I have decided that I am not going to focus on losing weight as much as I am going to improve my eating habits. I have asthma and am on oxygen at night and can't walk long distances, I have had 3 surgeries on my left shoulder and now have a frozen shoulder, so that shoulders makes it difficult to do a lot of kind of exercises, so I do what I can, and if I lose a couple pounds that is a bonus, not a requirement.

I am a farmers wife and engaged in as much of the farm as I can, and understand. We do have some livestock, sheep, 8 miniatures horses, and goats and right now we share the chores, me in the morning and hubby in the evening, but once field works start the chores are all my baby, and I do enjoy them.

I really don't have any big expectations, cause I am not one that likes setting goals. I just want to be as healthy as I can and enjoy life, and it doesn't mean spending hours and hours walking, running, working out in a smelly germ infested gym, I work hard on the farm and that has been the way it has been for many centuries, in my family, so I think it is good enough for me.
Honest work, and knowing I should not eat as much as I do, but it is all natural food, that means I don't eat boxed or store canned food unless it is unavoidable. If you read labels, some dogs and cats eat better than some do. If I can't pronounce it, I don't eat it.
So that said I have no goals, just honest living, and no beating myself up if I have a piece of pie.

Thanks for the blog love. I think the shawl will look much better once it is blocked. There is flu going around where my friend lives and they cancelled Thanksgiving because her two granddaughters were ill. Possibly where she caught whatever it is. But she has until Wednesday to get better. That is the next day the store is open.

Selling the house was more stopping the $$$ going out each month. We had a loan with the house as collateral and then all the fees with selling. Also the repair work to get it ready to sell after the squatter had trashed it. Had to replace windows doors fans holes in the wall exterminate roaches, replace flooring. It was a mess. It was sad to see what had been our home for so many years damaged so bad.

You never know. I found the cardinal ornament at the antique shop my mom and I loved to visit. I know that dealer was planning to stop by the estate sale, so I could see some of my mom's things the next time I go there. That would feel odd too, but I know she would be pleased to have others enjoy her nice things. Needless to say, whether it gets hung at work or at home, I'm keeping that cardinal. What is it with cardinals this year?

I've done no Christmas cards, haven't sorted my gifts to ship to daughters much less mail packages. This year though, I don't care. No extra stress. If daughters' gifts are late, they won't mind. If I don't do cards at all this year, that's OK. I haven't done any decorating at home except for my pretty snow globe. Husband said I don't have to do anything, but that he'll put up the window candeliers and that's enough for him. Maybe, just maybe I can do something Christmas-y this weekend. Friday is husband's birthday, and the plan is to go the the Tarpon Springs street festival and boat parade at Spring Bayou. I told him be sure you think of a plan B because I won't go if it's cold, damp, or windy. It's bad enough that I have a sick coworker who should be at home. I keep cleaning door handles etc.

Duh, you know what my other snowglobe looks like because I hunted it up on Amazon after you posted a pic of one. Which one do you like best, the one with birch trees and five little birds or the single cardinal one? emoticon OR emoticon
