I'm 75. another years has gone by, so now I am 75,and I have decided that I am not going to focus on losing weight as much as I am going to improve my eating habits. I have asthma and am on oxygen at night and can't walk long distances, I have had 3 surgeries on my left shoulder and now have a frozen shoulder, so that shoulders makes it difficult to do a lot of kind of exercises, so I do what I can, and if I lose a couple pounds that is a bonus, not a requirement.

I am a farmers wife and engaged in as much of the farm as I can, and understand. We do have some livestock, sheep, 8 miniatures horses, and goats and right now we share the chores, me in the morning and hubby in the evening, but once field works start the chores are all my baby, and I do enjoy them.

I really don't have any big expectations, cause I am not one that likes setting goals. I just want to be as healthy as I can and enjoy life, and it doesn't mean spending hours and hours walking, running, working out in a smelly germ infested gym, I work hard on the farm and that has been the way it has been for many centuries, in my family, so I think it is good enough for me.
Honest work, and knowing I should not eat as much as I do, but it is all natural food, that means I don't eat boxed or store canned food unless it is unavoidable. If you read labels, some dogs and cats eat better than some do. If I can't pronounce it, I don't eat it.
So that said I have no goals, just honest living, and no beating myself up if I have a piece of pie.

I still have my seaglass and feathers, but I'll just enjoy them as part of the decor for now. The first three weeks of my summer schedule were hopeless as far as weight loss. I'm somewhat adjusted now, but I'd rather just focus on healthy habits and forget the scale for a bit. I had a little bit of coughing and wheezing over the weekend. As you can imagine, that worried me, but it's about gone today. I think some extra rest helped. For really good news, my ankle tendons are finally noticeably improved. The right one is nearly back to normal, and the left one is better than it was. I now have some sandals with soft back straps that I can wear without hurting my ankles. I'm hoping to be able to wear my hiking boots when we visit daughter in September. I have one pair of closed shoes I can wear for work so far, and I'll be happy when I can wear the three pairs of flats I bought last summer in black, navy, and burgundy. The burgundy ones are such a pretty deep wine color.

Hi Linda....Bernie is very happy where he is staying now. Once my pain is managed and I am more mobile, I hope I can come home. I do miss him terribly.
