Introduction Text I've been married to Richard for 31 years. We were high school sweet hearts. We married young and had our first baby 9 months later. We have 3 grown sons, the oldest is married and has 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. It's great being a grandma. I am losing weight because of my health. The doctors gave me only one choice to help my back pain, weight loss. I had gastric bypass in Sept 17, 2007. I've lost over 100 lbs. While that is good it did not help my pain. I still am on many medications. I still have asthma, Fibromylgia, Depression and degenerative disc disease. I need to remember that the Lord will not give me more then I can handle. He is my strength, my rock on who I will trust. I want to keep my body as healthy as I can. If I wouldn't have lost weight, I would have diabetes right now. Plus other health problems that have gone away. Be encouraged whether you are losing weight the usual way or through the tool of gastric bypass surgery. You can do it!!! For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1: 2-5 Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. 1Peter 5: 7 Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1: 6 Now the Lord is Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3: 17-18

My goal after gastric bypass was to weigh 135lbs. I'm 5' 2", trying to reach the idea weight is brought a life change of how I look at food. My body needs only so much and if I eat too much it shows.

I eat 5-6 small meals through-out the day. I need to eat 60 g of protein and take special gastric bypass surgery vitamins. I drink 8 glasses of water a day. I try to walk everyday, living in the north I have a treadmill to use during bad weather.
