Let's spark some more today!

It’s been almost 10 years since I first came upon Sparkpeople. It has been a bumpy ride but not one I regret taking.

I am currently on my first ever Whole30 month and I am very proud to say I have not slipped once. I have an autoimmune condition called psoriasis and the only known way to treat the cause of the condition, is to remove inflammatory food from one’s diet. Whole30 is my first experimentation in that world and it’s working. I have several psoriasis plaques on my body that are slowly disappearing.
My first round on Sparkpeople started in late 2008, I was around 200-210, I don’t remember precisely. It wasn’t long before I was 180 pounds and kicking my new body. The thing is, I lost quickly and didn’t make long lasting changes. At some point, life happened and my weight got up to an all-time high of 250. That was in late 2013. It was time for me to re-commit to Sparkpeople.
So far, I went from a size 22 (don’t know really, I just wore the 2 things that I still fit in then!) to a size 14 & lost 62 pounds.
My success comes mostly from self discipline and sticking to the plan. The plan knows how to bring me from A to Z, I just have to follow it. The plan includes coming on SP, tracking calories and activities daily. Going out. Laughing. Running. Volleyball. Smiling. Having fun. Thinking. Reading. Learning. Scrapbooking. Walking. Doing videos with JessicaSmithTv. Hanging with my boyfriend, my friends & my family. The plan is flexible yet precise. It got time sensitive goals and more general ones.
I keep sparking because every efforts I put in myself is worth it and because Sparkpeople is an amazing tool, it gives you back a 100 times more than what you put in it.
Feel free to add me as a friend.
