Feb 6 2012 Hi, I'm Valerie I'm 23 (24 in a few days) and I'm getting married on Sept 8th 2012. I weigh 228 and am wanting to get down to at least 170 or 160 by my wedding date, I know that's asking a lot but who wants to get married fat? lol I've been a yoyo dieter for as long as i can remember.. starting in 8th grade.. yes.. that young.. my weight is always drastically changing.. I lose a ton of weight keep it off for a couple years then gain it back... this time I want to lose it and keep it off... we will see how this time goes lol UPDATE: 5-6-2012 Well I'm 24 now lol, but any ways I've now dropped 20lbs!! Can't believe it but this is actually working. I have a long way to go but I'm gunna get there. Trying my best to get down at least 20 more by my wedding.. got 4 more months and I'm working hard at it. Thanks for stopping by! UPDATE: 6.11.12 So I have now lost 32.6 lbs =) My wedding dress fits again and I got told I looked "skinny" by a co worker.. def paying off doing all this hard work. I was one person that did not think this was possible.. but it is.. working out and eating right is the way to go.. u don't need diet pills, surgery, expensive pre packaged foods.. just treat ur body right and it will return the favor! UPDATE: 7.9.12 I'm officially down 41lbs today and so ecstatic! Only 9 more lbs to reach my goal of 50 by my wedding and I still have 2 months to go.. so I'm shooting for at least 15 more.. I got this =) Woot UPDATE: 8.13.12 I met my goal of 50lbs by my wedding today and am SOOO happy! Never thought I'd actually be able to do this but I did it!! I have just under 4 weeks til my wedding at this point and as badly as I want to lose more weight I need to maintain so that I don't have to get my dress altered.. again! lol So yea go me!! UPDATE 4/24/13: SOOOOO.. long time no see. Well I'm am very disappointed to say that I have gained back almost 25lbs since my last update =( no bueno so I'm going to try once again (for like the 100th time this year) to get back on track. I weighed in this morning at 198lbs and that was a big slap in the face =( So heres to hoping that, that was a big enough wake up call to do something before I hit 200 again!! Update 7-2-17: Its been 4 years since I last posted and since then I've had a baby and gained back all the weight I lost plus 40lbs. So here I am trying again. Weighing in at 268.2 and I have a long hard road ahead of me. Now having an almost 3 year old and trying to figure out how to juggle adding in a work out. I know people do it so I just have to figure out what works for me! Let's up the next update is better than this one! Jan 1 2018 Happy new year! So I have kept up with my diet and exercise and am down almost 50lbs as of yesterdays weigh in. 48.4lbs and 51in. I am so glad I did it and was able to find some motivation. I still have a long way to go to but I'm happy with my progress. I weighed in at 219.4 yesterday. I plan to continue working out and pushing myself a little harder this year to hit my goal of 100lbs. Here's to making 2018 a great year! Update April 22 2018 I hit 199.8 today! I'm just over a lb away from 70lbs gone. The weight is coming off a lot slower the more I lose but I'm going to keep pushing. I have 31lbs to go to hit my goal of 100lbs. Then after that I'm going to shoot for another 18lbs to make it to 150. Im not sure how long it'll take but I'll get there! I really hope I can figure out how to maintain it this go around! That's always been my downfall. Til next time! June 17 2018: I hit the 180s today! 189.6 I'm only 1.4lbs from 80lbs! I'm just over 20lbs from my hundred lb goal. It's taken me almost two months to drop 10lbs but it's coming off little by little. I hope by the end of the year I can hit my first goal. I'll be checking in again at the 170s! Update June 24 2018: I hit 80.6lbs lost today! Update August 26 2018: it took me almost 3 months to lose another 10lbs but I just hit the 170s this morning. I've had a month of doing more gaining than losing and it's been really discouraging. I weighed in at 179.8 this morning and I'm hoping it doesn't go back up by next weigh in. I am 11.6lbs from my goal of 100lbs so at this rate maybe by Christmas I'll hit it lol. Til next time! Update Sept 2 2018: I hit 90lbs lost today! 178.2 Update Nov 18 2018: I hit 100lbs lost today 168.2! It took me 1 year 4 months and 2 weeks but it finally happened. I remember thinking about how far I had to go when I started and it almost made me want to give up a few times but I stuck with it even though I had weeks I gained and made me wanna quit I kept pushing through. I feel like I have made this a lifestyle now and that I can keep this up forever and I plan to! I'm so happy! I plan to keep pushing a try to make it to 150lbs (another 18lbs to go) but I'm not sure if that is something I can realistically achieve but I'm going to try. Then to get toned. I'll be back when I hit another milestone!

    The Biggest Loser goes for 10 weeks. It consists of 10 teams participating in weekly Fitness and Nutrition challenges. The Spring challenge will be getting started the beginning of March. It consists of fitness and nutrition challenges that are often in a form of a game. If for some reason you cannot do a challenge then they are modified to meet your needs.
