In 2007 I lost 30 pounds by changing my eating habits drastically (due to finding out i have high blood pressure) and alternating between Walk Away the Pounds, Carmen Electra's Fit to Strip DVD and Tae Bo. I found myself "slipping" when i would go out of town and the holidays were the worst...i ate everything i wanted to...cookies, name it. I have gained 9 of the 30lbs back and Im looking to loose that and then some this year. More importantly - stay on track this time and and learn how to not have a free-for-all when im on vacation and during the holidays!

It has been MONTHS since i have lost any weight...I am still stuck at 221 but I can see myself still losing inches. My size 12 shorts and bermudas I bought in february as my "goal" pants fit great now. That's whats important to me! Jari Love's "Get Ripped" DVD is absolutely amazing and i have seen quite noticeable results from it. More than Turbo Jam I must say and i LOVE Turbo Jam!! I guess my body benefits from the weight training moreso than cardio.

Happy New Year everyone!!!

So apparently I have been slacking when it comes to SparkPeople but i have not slacked when it comes to doing what I'm supposed to do everyday. I have not stepped on a scale in quite awhile...kinda afraid to if the numbers arent where they're supposed to be. On the other hand - my clothes still fit great....I had to pin up the dress i wore in my friend's wedding in september when I wore it to the Inauguration ball 2 weeks ago to keep it from falling. I think i did awesome this past holiday season. While everyone ate their dinner my mother cooked i had my own steamed veggies and zucchini pancakes or morning star chiken patties. Of course they looked at me crazy but i was determined not to fall victim of my habitual holiday weight gain.

As far as working out...Sometimes i have to be in the mood for Turbo Jam but im always up for Jari (i seem to have longer lasting "inches gone" results with weights vs cardio).

Water is still my only beverage. Not a coffee or tea drinker. I eat an apple EVERYDAY and have Mott's Peach medly (no sugar added) applesauce for the days im on the go or havent been to the grocery store. No new favorite things...other than Special K's new 90 calorie crackers. Mmmm!! i "try" to eat as clean as possible and in the evenings every now and then i treat myself to the Hungry girl pumpkin brownies that i make in batches and immediately freeze. :-)

Im already thinking about a new summer bathing suit....guess i better stop "maintaining" and get back to business! :-)

My Goals:
Gone from a size 18 to a size 14 pants (chest area doesnt seem to want to go away that fast) and my goal is a size 10/12. I love Lane Bryant and Torrid but I wold love it even more if i could walk into any store I wanted to and walk out in an outfit from head to toe.
