I'm a 24 year old stay at home mom to a beautiful little boy that was born in October 2008. My pre-pregnancy weight was 160 and I gained 28 lbs with my pregnancy. Six week post-partum I was 167 lbs and I thought "wow, this weight just falls right off" so i stopped weighing myself and continued eating whatever I wanted (I was nursing my baby). 7 months later, I was back up to 180!!! I couldn't believe it and through a little hard work I was able to get down to 165.

Then I hit a wall. Seems like no matter what I did I couldn't push past that 164 mark. I was still nursing my son, but when I stopped in October 2009 I joined SparkPeople and decided to get serious about this. As of this writing (12/15/09) I've passed my pre-pregnancy weight and weigh-in at 159! I haven't seen that # in a long time. My goal is 145 and if I keep pushing, I'll get there. I hope to be there by spring.

My regular fitness routine includes 3 days of strength training (45-50 minutes) - I love DVDs and rotate No More Trouble Zones and Biggest Loser Power Sculpt with the occasional 30 Day Shred if I'm in a pinch for time. I try to get SOME cardio in every day, even if it's just walking on the treadmill but I try to get in something more intense 6 days a week.

My motivation is I want to be a healthy role model and feel good about myself and stop avoiding cameras and hating every picture I'm in. Wish me luck!! :-)
