So I decided I need to update my story. I've been maintaining the same weight now for about two years. I started weighing in at 215-220 lbs. On my 5'3" frame that was far too heavy. My mom was diagnosed with diabetes and we both decided to make a change. Changing our way of eating was difficult at first, but became easier as time went on. But as easy as it was, it is also easy to slip and go back to old " bad" habits. I hit a rough spot with lots of stress and started slipping. I finally got my grip back and have made a promise to myself that I will NEVER go back to the old me. The old me was miserable and lacked so much confidence. I still have confidence issues, but I try to work on it every day. I went from a size 18 to a size 10 and would be happy being a size 8. But listen to me...size shouldn't matter. I should be happy no matter what size I am. Ideally I'd be happy at 140 lbs, but to have a toned body no matter what the scale says is my ultimate goal. I would like to start running. I see how it transforms a body and would love to have those results. My knee however doesn't want me to. It hasn't been the same since surgery. So each day I build it up, I can try to run just a little bit until I work up to a decent distance. I hope to serve as inspiration one day, but until I get back to my old " good" habits, it seems a bit hypocritical to tell people how I lost weight seeing as I have hit a major brick wall! Here's to breaking through it and moving on! My goal is to be smoking hot by next March when I go to Las Vegas!

My Goals:
I have decided to change my way of viewing my weight loss success. I use the scale as a guide, but only that. I weigh the same I did back in October 0f 2007 and though that makes me sad and kind of angry, I am also a size smaller than I was in 2007. I have noticed that my muscles are getting more toned and defined. But I still need to push myself extra hard to start seeing the final results and work on maintaining them! I have lost and kept off 50 lbs for 2 years now. The last 20 or so is the toughest journey for me.

My Program:
I am watching portion control, and calories and fat consumed. I am trying to eat more protein and Fiber. My workout consists of 45-60 minutes of Cardio and various upper/lower body strength training routines.

Personal Information:
I am from Lowell, MA. I have a fabulous family and boyfriend who support me every step of the way. My mom is losing weight with me and we help eachother continue on the path to health and wellness. If anyone wants to send me an e-mail it's and I am also on Myspace:

Other Information:
I love music. Like seriously love it. I listen to all kinds of music. I love the band Social Distortion (in case you haven't noticed from my background! But I also listen to pop, rock, country and from all eras. My Ipod is filled with all kinds of crazy songs! I love to sing too, but more so in my car and the shower. Karaoke bars are great but I can never get anyone to go with me!
