I have always been a tall thin person up until I had my first son, Connor, in September of 2006. I only gained 20 lbs during the pregnancy until the 8 month and then gained another 22 lbs in the last two months. WOW! I really threw on the weight then, and ate ice cream every day just about during those hot summer months. I has taken me about 13 months to finally lose the weight and I am now 10 lbs under the prepregnancy weight. It has taken a lot of hard work, determination and discipline along the way. At work everyeone eats whatever they want and don't watch their eating habits or exercise. It is hard to pass up the temptation but you have to ask yourself, do you want to give up all the hard work and gain the weight back? I am now toning up the areas that were stretched beyond there means and gaining muscle instead of the loose fat that used to fill those spots. I tell myself I am worth it and I no longer yearn to fit in skinny clothes because I am now able to fit into my clothes that used to be collecting dust in my closet. Anyone can do it just set your mind to it and stay motivated. My motivation was my son, my skinny clothes and my soon to be teaching degree. I am a student teacher and will graduate this upcoming spring. I never thought the day would come but it is like anything else in life, with time comes accomplishment. So get out there and do it!
