I thought it was time to freshen my information. I found Spark People in 2009 but ignored it. Then I was ready to look at it again in 2010. Like many, I didn't jump all in. I poked around on the site for the entire month of January and truly started in February 2010. That year I lost 20 pounds and had 5 more to go to hit my weight loss goal. So close!

Like so many, I gained half my weight back when I became sporadic in following the steps that had worked so well for me. It's hard to know just what the problem was - was I lazy, or was it simply I didn't want to lose weight as much as I wanted to eat whatever I wanted (I believe it was the later)? I regained 10 pounds and have held onto that weight with a little effort on my part.

So, I'm back at it again. I've changed a few things up because this plateau is not where I want to live the rest of my life. Paying attention to the nutritional aspect of my weight loss more closely than ever before. Making sure I keep moving my body. I have great plans for 2015! By the end of the year I will see these last 12 pounds GONE!

My Goals:
Fit - walk for exercise 6 days a week

Become more yoga fit, flexible with better balance.

Complete the loss of 25 unwanted pounds by Dec 2015.

My Program:
Keeping calories well balanced and in the range of 1400 - 1500 daily

Walking-twice daily with one for aerobic needs and second for pleasure

Drinking more water.

Yoga class - Tuesday, strength class, Sunday

Blogging and reading blogs to stay inspired

    I haven't started the 10,000 steps thing yet. I've done it before and it's amazing. But I just haven't taken the time to program my pedometer. Come on, Karen. Get movitvated!

    It's fun to read about Colorado in your message to me. My daughter wants to move to Colorado because of the snow and she has many friends from college who are from Colorado.

    A walk in the snow sounds nice.. that crunch is so distinctive! Have a wonderful walk today.

    For me.. today is my "non-workout" day but I will still do my strength exercises and hopefully get my 10,000 steps in. The weather is mild right now, so I really ought to take advantage, no?

    Thanks for stopping by my page! I enjoyed the photos of your darling dogs... Those eyes! I know what you mean about the weight just creeping up and "tomorrow" has finally arrived. ARGH!
