Hi, new friend. I noticed you left comments on several of my pics, and I realize they can be confusing because of the order they are posted in. Long story short... I started using Spark on 1-1-14, at 329 lbs., with the initial goal of losing 100 lbs. that year. I lost that 100 lbs. with the help of the Nutrition Tracker (I really don't exercise at all - see my blogs) by October of that year. I decided then to continue on to a healthier weight goal of 155 lbs., which I hit on April 11 of this year. 2015 was rough, with some setbacks, as I lost both of my parents within five months of each other and also had to deal with some other life issues. Along the way, my sister and daughter joined me in the quest. My daughter is now 19, but she's lost about 70+ lbs., and my sister has lost over 100. They do not officially use the Nutrition Tracker, but they basically count calories, as I do. My new goal - and my "finish line," of sorts - is to hit 148 lbs., which is the average of what most sources say is a healthy weight for me. I have been struggling this summer with ups and downs due to a bit too much letting go, but I intend to hit that 148 by the end of October, so I'll have a built-in cushion for what I'll inevitably pick up during the winter and holidays, and then I will move into maintenance. When I hit that goal (not if), I will have lost 181 lbs. with Spark, and I will NEVER allow myself to get heavy again. I was 329 lbs. when I started and am averaging 153-159 lbs. lately, but I will be in the 140s in my forties, and then it's on to happier, healthier maintenance. My key is simply a 1,200 calorie regimen - there's no magic or strenuous exercise to it for me.

Thanks for the friend add and a big emoticon to the Spark community.

Think about joining one the challenge teams like BLC or the 5% challenge community. The Fall challenges are already filled but you can put your name down to get on a team for the Winter Challenge. These teams are full of supportive people working towards the same goal. I find it really helps me.
