I love Sparkpeople. I have so many friends that have become like family to me over the years. We help to motivate and encourage each other through many things among them healthier way to do things. I'm so blessed to have all of you as my friends.
Here's to 2019!
A Spark friend shared this. Thanks Mary...
May you understand that negative thoughts and words are simply a habit.
May you choose to think and speak positive words.
May you be inspired to express the highest and best of yourself in all your thoughts, words, and actions.
When your words and actions bring a smile to others, you are guided in a life of freedom and fulfillment.

Something I want to remember... Also from Mary...
Whenever you are feeling less than good, if you will stop and say, Nothing is more important than that I feel good—I want to find a reason now to feel good, you will find an improved thought.

Anytime you feel negative emotion, you are in the mode of resisting something that you want, and that resistance takes its toll on you. It takes its toll on your physical body, and it takes its toll on the amount of wonderful things that you are allowing to come into your experience.

My Goals:
Long Term Goal:
To continue to do my best in becoming a healthier me.

My Program:
I will
- Remember that this is a life long journey...
- Keep trying...

Personal Information:
I've been disabled since 1992 with back pain. I've had 3 back surgeries and most days have pain that keeps me down or slows me down. In 2017 I had to go on Oxygen 24/7. So I do tend to sit more than I should and have gotten weaker from it. I try to remain positive and get up and move as best I can.

Hi Kathy...KUDOS to you for quitting smoking again, you are setting a WONDERFUL example for all your grandkids!! I did my last quit 12 years ago, the one before only lasted a year, so now I think I am good. Between not smoking and menopause among others I am battling the bulge too!! Good luck in your journey, have fun with it!!

    Hi Kathy,
I enjoyed my visit to your SparkPage. I quit smoking last February (gave it up for Lent) and proceeded to pack on the weight that I knew I would. Was looking on the net for the free calorie counter and wound up here just six days after you found your way here. I am hoping that this will be the spark to get a serious healthy program going. (I too am a water jogger. Less joint stress! Getting geared up to add some strength training. . .one step at a time. I'll be doing this for a long time) Have a great day.
