I am on sparkpeople to manage my weight. It's been up and down, then up, up, up my whole life. Sparkpeople has helped me for over ten years now. I have lost 60+ pounds 3 times and then more. I just keep gaining it back. It's just not coming off this time...
I am not giving up though! Giving up equals gaining. And even if I do not lose weight, at least I am not gaining weight.
I made the decision to start Cognitive Behavior Therapy with a licensed therapist. We are addressing my mental issues that I have struggled with my whole life. I have been in therapy for about three months. I think it is about time to start slow on taking care of my health with the help of my therapist.

My Goals:
Lose 50 pounds.
Prevent diabetes and high blood pressure issues.
Feel better in my own skin.
Continue my Cognitive Behavior Therapy.

My Program:
I track everything I eat, good and bad. I choose zero calorie beverages, add a vegetable to each meal and smaller carb portions. I count my steps and activity with a Fitbit. I am doing CBT with a licensed therapist. I "mentally rehearse" my days and meals using sparkpeople tracker and a digital planner.

Personal Information:
My first name is Amanda. I am 31. I grew up in Kansas. In the country, surrounded by woods and fields. We roamed around in the woods and caught frogs. Ran around after chickens. I was always very boyish. I am not very feminine. I can't say I am so active now, but I do love the outdoors. I love thunderstorms and fresh air.

I'm a homemaker, mother of six. My kids' ages range from 2 to 13. I am very consciencious about raising my children well. I read a lot about parenting and I invest a lot of time into them. They are all great kids. Honor roll, perfect attendance, never had behavior issues. I am proud of them. With that said, they still drive me nuts sometimes. lol

I have a lot of hobbies and interests...
Gaming. My favorites are Minecraft, Sims 4, Stardew Valley. I like old super or nintendo 64 games from when I was a kid.
Gardening. I keep a large garden with tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers. I have a herb garden. I grow my own lettuce when it is cool out. With that, I like to can and dehydrate, too. I am new at all that though. I learning the larger that garden gets...
Crafts and woodworking. I love making things with my hands. It makes me feel accomplished and proud. I can use all kinds of power tools to build or refinish things. I crochet, sew, paint, draw...
Music. I love, love music. Mostly alternative/rock from the 90's, but I love everything else, too. Hair bands, metal, blues. My kids even have me liking some more modern music, but I am picky about all that pop stuff. lol
