2018 - I'm continuing my weight loss maintenance and healthy living. Going big this year!

2016 became the year that I actually changed my lifestyle. Nearing the end of 2016, my goal for 2017 is to continue with my healthy lifestyle that I have created in 2016. My lifestyle includes:
Regular Excerise
Running Races and Triathlons
A mostly plant based diet with limited process foods and some diary
No alcohol
A normal BMI (from obese at the beginning of 2016)
I am working on flexibility and my anxiety through yoga.

From the beginning of 2016: There are 52 weeks in a year, and it takes at least 3 weeks to form a habit. I can break the year up into 4 week periods and make 13 positive life changes in 2016. I'm not sure all the changes I'll make this year, but so far I think I'm on the right path finally.

Changes Made
12/30: become a non-drinker
1/27: move 15 minutes every day on purpose (15 min walk, 15 minutes yoga, workout). Revised on 2/24 to 10,000 steps per day.
2/24: workout 30 minutes 4 times a week
3/23: be consistent
4/6: Create a morning routine that includes stretching, meditation and setting a daily intention.

Thanks for the tip about adding cocoa powder to my yogurt. It's funny how my brain didn't even register chocolate chips as "candy."

Thanks for the blog love on my hat repair entry. I have tried needlepoint yarns but this was a very soft hat so I wanted to keep it the same. I am certain this is where the hat is grabbed to put on and take off and so wore through.

Hi Leaton, thanks for you comment and support on my blog. I probably should have been more clear, I am a long-time runner and exerciser, and I do run outside in the winter, but not ready to risk injury on snow and ice (had enough of that over the past few years!). I guess what I really should have asked is what is the one home gym item you LOVE and can't do without? Kudos to you for your running achievements and also your great goals for the coming year! Thanks again!

its a wisdom tooth. i'm 60. i am oni a very fixed income and domt have the money to have it done without insurance. i've just gotten off the phone with both my cardiologist and the referring dentist. its all fixed..apparently hes just got lousy bedside manner, but his work is stellar. so i stay.
