Hello there. I am new to this team as well. We are all off to a good start here and I am in for the long hull, even after I hit my goal weight, I will still need to support and motivation. At my heaviest point 220, I couldn't move without sweating and It was really awful. I mad it through though. I started with doing as much as I could from my couch, leg lifts, arm circles, anything I could just to get moving. In nice weather I like to go for short walks and cleaning house burns calories as well. I have found another fun and not to hard way to burn calories, I play bowling on the WII. It is fun and you just use your arm and your legs like you are really bowling. Somedays a hour will go by before I even notice because I am having so much fun (burning at least 200 some calories). At first it did make my arms and legs very sore, but as I went on it go better and better. We all have issues we are trying to get through and take back out lives. I believe that here with all the support we can do it! Stop by my page sometime! emoticon emoticon

Hi! My name is Mystyne & I'm co-leader on the Dealing with Chronic Pain Team. Welcome!

I'm glad to see that you introduced yourself to the team. Please jump right in on the conversations. I can't wait to get you better. I think you'll find that we are a very supportive group.

Several of us are nurses. Sorry to hear that you may have to look for a new line of work. Just remember, there are a lot of jobs in nursing. I'm a NICU nurse & I've been on light duty for almost a year now. I may be forced to face the face that I will not ever do bedside nursing again. Good Luck to you on your job search.

emoticon Looks like you are off to a good start. I too have many limits because of health. Just take one day at a time and do the next right thing. We are on this journey together and we can look fine in 2009.
