This Rockin Red Fox is Looking forward to the Autumn Challenge!

I'm feeling better than I have in month and I am determined work hard and stay consistent throughout the challenge....because it is MY time to think thin and healthy and to protect my program.

That program includes at least some intentional exercise every day, drinking 8 glasses of water daily and staying within my SparkPeople calorie range. I also want to get back to faster walking, no more hobbling along, my goal by the time this challenge starts is 2.5 mph and I want to keep it up throughout the challenge.

I'm double teaming against the pounds! Can't forget my wonderful 100 days of Weight Loss with Linda Spangle team. That book and the team have changed my life. We are continuing with Linda's second 100 Days book....100 More Days of Losing Weight. Awesome lessons in this book!

I continue to live IN each day! It is way too easy for me to allow a day to disappear into busyness without taking any time to savor life. Not doing that any more!

I've lost weight with TOPS, SparkPeople, my SparkFriends,the Foxes and now will continue to move forward I want to get back to goal weight. Right now I am 5 lbs above goal weight. I love the support that I get from all my Sparkfriends and teams, but I have to say that to have a 20+ member team that is consistently supportive of each member and have the participation, caring and sharing that we have on the Rockin Red Foxes is a rare and beautiful thing. Last fall I met my TOPS goal, built the sciatica this spring and summer put me down so I am no longer KOPS. I will be back to maintenance by the time the autumn challenge is over! KOPS, stands for Keeping Off Pounds Sensibly.

Because of my Myasthenia Gravis the doctors say that exercise is my enemy right now. I have to very carefully plan never to exercise to the point of fatigue...difficult when I start the day fatigued and never feel strong. That will change though.

Basically I'm just not quitting! I'm still trying to live mindfully and to be as healthy as possible.

My Goals:
Long Term Goal: To be a very healthy, very old woman, surrounded by great-grandchildren and still living independently and enjoying my life. I want to be as healthy as I can be at age "almost seventy". I want to maintain my weight loss and even lose another 5 lbs.

My Program:
Eat Wisely! Live fully in each day! Show Love and Kindness! Trust! Pray!
Stay within my spark calorie range and drink 8 glasses of water daily.
Intentional exercise at least 10 minutes daily!

Personal Information:
I grew up in North Dakota and attended the University of North Dakota for one year. Returned to college when I was 44 and graduated - now that felt good. I live in Ohio now. My husband was stationed here for his last Air Force assignment and we stayed in the area when he retired from the Air Force. I've retired as of January 1, 2011!!. I've met the goal of getting back to quilting finally. Two small projects completed recently. It keeps my hands too busy for food. I also love reading, spending time with friends, and traveling occasionally.

    We do have some things in common!! Love the What doesn't kill you, doesn't kill you!!

    Today's society to me, many look for excuses to not be adults. I live in an elderly high rise. It's sooo strange to see some display "I'm NOT Adulting today" signs.

    thanks so much for your great comment. I hadn't thought about dropping off at the local union mission, I will try to get in touch with them and see what is possible. I am looking at OA as a way to have fact to face time. I called a local contact person this evening but they haven't gotten back to me yet, maybe tomorrow.

    Thank You so for the goodie, it looks utterly beautiful and stress free! I have to say my recuperation is going better than I could have ever expected but I am taking the time to heal properly, I intend to do this right so I am just not going to worry about where to live and how we'll manage but I know we will so when I happens at least I'll be healthy. You know maybe even a little excited.
