Hi Kathy.. Hope you're doing better with your foot. Haven't posted much.. Not sure if I shared this information with you.. My wife was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer last June to shortly before I retired.. Been seen way too many doctors and hospitals the past 11 months.. She said part of her colon removed along with the tumor last June and they diagnosed her with cancer in the liver too.. Been on some type of chemo treatment the past nine months.. Will be going to Mayo Clinic and have surgery to remove the tumors on her liver next Thursday after that not sure?? Day at a time.. She doing remarkably well and still continues to work most of the time.. Hope you're doing good.. Catch up with you later Bob

    Hey Kathy emoticon
I'm glad your mil is feeling better. It's worrisome and stressful when loved ones get up in age. Which in turn is not good for our health.....

Sorry to hear you're having trouble resolving your foot issues. Hope everything works out before the weather breaks so you're not laid up once it's time to "get out." This weather is so frustrating. One day it's spring-like and the next it's wintry again. It's enough to bring you down but you HAVE to keep positive thoughts. "Fake it till you make it."

You know, there are so many exercises you can do without the use of your foot. Sparkpeople even has some chair workout videos. I don't mean to be a nag but you shouldn't be waiting for just the right moment (spring) to get started. Tomorrow may never come. This time next year you'll either be glad you started today or wish you had.

Thank you for the bunch of flowers. I greatly appreciate your support and encouragement.
Have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day.

    Hi Kathy,

Thank you! I am still up 35 lbs. the picture just doen't show it very well (good thing). Seems my face and b**bs get the weight first, then the belly! Yikes! I am so with you on many aspects.........WHEN will spring get here? Well yesterday, today and supposedly tomorrow 65 and sunny but next week snow! Oh well, one more week and we are outa here. I am also suffering with my foot issues still. Went for a walk last evening with hubby for an hour. The first 10 minutes was fine but after that PAIN in my foot and my left hip. OUCH! I really need to get in shape. My hubby swims and wants me to swim with him. I just hate swimming for exercise (so boring!) especially when it is cold out! AWFUL! I may have to do it though because the weight bearing stuff hurts too much. It would be a very wise choice for me. On the bright side I was 173.8 this morning.......down from 176 Tuesday. I'll take that! My eating has been pretty good and wine (and some beer) bad too! But, I still managed to lose 2.2 lbs. anyway. I really do believe that it really is the food for me. I can still drink moderately and still lose weight if I cut WAY back on simple carbs and just eat right with small portions (the hardest part!). Glad MIL is better, I am sure she will be happy to go home! Take care, keep up the good eating! Ceci emoticon US soon!

Hey Kathy - How's it going? How is your MIL?
Don't mean to toot my own horn but I'm so excited I wanted to share.
I've finally made it back to Onederland this morning. 36 pounds gone in the last 5 months. Woo Hoo!
Hope you're doing well. Take care.
