I have been struggling with my wieght ever since I quite smoking and got divorced.. I struggled with the emotional eating when I couldn't smoke I ate!!!.. I have gained as much as 60 extra pounds. My highest wieght was 200lbs Just 3 years proir to that I weighed 130 lbs... and I want to be back there....SO!!! I have lost MAYBE 25 of them ( I don't own a scale anymore) I have gone from a size 18 to a 10 -12. I just bought a pair of size 10 jeans and they fit great!!! I am 47 years old ..I want to get back into the dating game( YIKES!!!!!) I want to look as good as I feel I want to look good in a pair of jeans and t-shirt again.. I have the flabby arm thing going on so a cute cap sleeve is not really working ya know? . anyway.. thats my story... or some of it anyway :)

My Goals:
to loose that last 30 pounds... and look fabulous in cap sleeves... T-shirt and jeans ...and wow my man in a fabulous summer dress!!!

My Program:
I have really got serious and decided this is a life style change and so far so good .. as far as the life style change of it goes... the weight is very SLOW to come off but I am still committed my plan is a low glycemic diet NO WHITE FOODS!!! ( white flour, white bread white rice potatoes etc.)non packaged foods fresh and from nature veggies fruits water. I walk with weights on my arms and legs ( total of 30 lbs) stadium type walking where I walk up up and down hills.. 4 to 5 times a week usually no more than 4 days a week but shoot for 5 to 6.Details on the Ladders:

The key is not resting in between the excercises (example: we will start at 30 reps)
30 reps of pushups
30 reps of jumping jacks
30 reps of burpees (also known as up-downs where you start standing and go down into a catcher stance, kick your feet out, then back in, and stand back up for one rep)
Then without stopping you do:
25 reps of pushups
25 reps of jumping jack

Okay woman.....what's the story? Haven't heard from you in a bit & wanted to know if you were doing okay? Did you survive the holidays? Of course, we all did......it's our job as woman & moms to make sure it all goes as planned even if it means our sanity! Seriously though.....everything okey-dokey?

Did you make any new year resolutions? I didn't. I always would make the same one & never saw it through. I just hate being disappointed. So this year I didn't make one. This is the year my actions will speak louder than my words.

I'm trying to regain my focus. It's hard with my food, but easier with my exercise. I think that is saving me right now. I haven't stepped on the scale, but my pants still fit.

Take care & give me an update.

    Hugs,

    Lynette,

The holidays are so busy, I didn't have any time to check in with my Spark Friends! I hope you had a great holiday season and that you're on track to have a great year! I'm back and focused, and hope that you are too!

Lynette....popping back in to see how you are doing. After your visit to my page, I wanted to make sure that you were surviving the holiday rush of this last week! I know it's hard to stay on track & drink your water & exercise regularly this time of year, but all that mall walking & rushing around counts for some cardio I would guess!

I have had a hard time this week with food. We've had parties, luncheons, you name it! I have smaller portions & NO seconds. I have been a little relaxed on the exercise as well, but I am very busy at home, more than usual. I have an appt with a trainer today, so I have to go.....keeps me honest I guess.

Try to stop by, I'd love to hear from you.
    Merry Christmas, Happy New Year!

Lynette...just dropped in to check on you! Hope things are going well. I was down only .5 this week, but considering the crazy week that I've had, that's good.

I met with a trainer on Tuesday, my calves still bother me from the calf raises. I have another meeting next week.....something to look forward to.

Hope you have a great weekend!
