I am 44 this year in June and I've been struggling with my weight since I was 20ish. Use to party hard, eat hard and play hard and now I'm at my heaviest 205 and have been trying to get it off for the past 5yrs. Unfortunately whatever I lose I've gained it all back again thanks to my laziness. Got engaged over the xmas holiday in 2005 to a wonderful man I met while I was learning to scuba dive, both of which I never thought I'd ever do.
Honey bunny and I started Bernsteins in January 2007 and I lost 38lbs, but again gained back over summer when I started eating again.
I am today, glad to be here, and trying to make a better me for life.
To fix my midlife crisis I bought a horse..of course. I've dreamed of one since I was 6 and it took me until 40 but I finally got one.
Nobody did this but me, and I give credit where credit is due - don't need a figment of my imagination to "guide me" through it.

You're so sweet...I loved your comment on my shut up blog! And I am THRILLED that you have begun to take back YOu from the damage your Mom did...All I can say is that she did it out of love(however misguided it may gave been) I know my Mom was coming from the same place..but the bottom line is is it so liberating to tell your Mom that "YOU" know how to love you better than she does...and that her "love" may be damaging. It is also an extremely healing thing to do. I suggest you have a long talk with your Mom and tell her how you feel. It can really help heal some of those issues.

Welcome to the South Beach Team and thanks for posting on the Canadian's thread there. At Costco, Dempster's Ancient Grains bread has been the best price I can find on Beachy bread. Costco also has the best price here on Marantha Almond Butter; twice the size for what WalMart sells at the same price. WalMart is where I buy my canned beans for cheapest. If you find anything better, let me know.

    Hey!
You and I have things in common, except the "rear-view". My heart goes out to you. I cry with you, and I move forward with you. Your head is on straight! You go girl! ....and it's been since July that I have ridden as well. Rusty had a bad injury last year, and I nearly lost him to compaction colic a couple weeks ago. He's a fighter and I learn so much from him. Guess we have many more trails to explore together. He is MY inspiration.....And my reason to play some games and gear us up for spring & summer. So you are steps ahead of me......
Stop by anytime! and Keep Moving Forward......
