I have been on a 5+ year loose and gain battle - I try to exercise reguarily and do really well, but then I fall off the wagon - I try to just eat healthy with healthy portions but I don't always use the best judgement and I fight the bedtime munchies

Fitness Minutes: 36,629

My Goals:
Obviously I want to weigh a healthy weight - I want to be fit and I want to be a healthy example to my daughter, sisters, nieces and friends. I want to fit into all seats comfortably and I want to feel good and proud of myself


My Program:
I run 30+ minutes 3x's a week and do strength training after that. Twice a week I stay at home and do 1/2 hour of aerobic exercice that still kicks my butt! I try and get a mountain hike in but its hard to get a partner to go with.



Personal Information:
I have lived in Calgary for the last 18 years. Does that make me a Calgarian? LOL
We have a very good job that we love but challenges us enough to get the blood boiling and keep us interested! I have been married for 23 years and we have been through all of the ups and downs and suffered the loss of a child. We have a beautiful daughter who is very successful in her own right and I am so proud to have her call me MOM. She is my greatest accomplishment! :)


Other Information:
Love to laugh, hike, stay at nice hotels with outdoor hottubs in the mountains with my hubby-love wine, the Okanogan, my family, my cats whom I love to hate but would be devastated if anything happened to them. Life is good and I hate the cold and ice. But I love hockey and I love to cheer for the Calgary Flames and I don't love football but love to cheer for the Saskatchewan RoughRiders!

    The rangers stopped by our campsite on Saturday and mentioned they'd already seen four bears that day. None of them near where we were but around Kananaskis. (gulp) Glad yours took off when it heard you.

    You mentioned a seed bread you do in the machine. Would you mind sending me the recipe, please? If it won't copy and paste into SparkMail just drop me a note and I'll send you my "real" e-mail address. Thanks!

    We hiked up to Ribbon Falls. We had a 50% discount for a stay at the Delta during July or August so chose to take advantage of that to follow up our hike. We did get some rain but obviously it was a non-issue.
    Normally we camp at the Lower Lakes Campground and tarp it up!!!
    But even though I sort of ached to camp - after 17km the hottub was a well deserved treat - holy heck my feet hurt!
    We spooked a bear/grizzly(?) near the end of our hike - we got a quick glance, heard some snorts and off it ran away from us! We were so exhausted that we were not even scared! Guess it helped that it ran away though! LOL
    We are going camping for 2 weeks in September in northern Saskatchewan and northern Alberta and really looking forward to it!

    Where were you hiking in Kananaskis? Did you get rained on? We were camping at Etherington Creek this last weekend and it rained the whole weekend. We had to put the tent up today just to dry it out.

    Thanks but it is 16.1 pounds! ! My kilogram's are really pounds!
    My pounds to loose is in pounds however.......weird
    But nevertheless.........THANKS!
