Hi Everyone,
My name is Mary and I'm trying to manage my diabetes, live healthy and lose weight to get pregnant and start a family with my amazing husband Rich.

2017 Goals & Rewards
Starting weight in 2017 was 233
February 25th found out we are preggo!
May 15th - We are having a boy!!!
May 20th found out we had miscarried :(

I want to get back to my starting weight by August/September so that we can try go get pregnant again.

New starting weight: 253 lbs (May 2017)
-5 lbs (main/pedi) ***crushed it! 6/4/17***
-10 lbs (Facial)
-15 lbs (new yoga shirt)
-20 lbs (massage)
-25 lbs (Facial)

My Goals:
I'm on a mission to lose 60 lbs.
I want to:
Go to bed by 11:30 pm
Control blood glucose with diet and exercise, not medication.
Be able to do one pull up.
Be able to run a mile nonstop.
Be able to hula hoop.
Be able to do a cartwheel.
Be able to wear a Wonder Woman costume.

My Program:
I am eating more organic and less processed food. I'm brown bagging my lunch for work. I stick to 1600-1800 calories a day. I track all my calories on SP. I also workout/walk 3 x per week.

Personal Information:
My name is Mary. I live in a North West suburb of Chicago. I've been married to my best friend, Rich, since September 2015. I also have an adorable doggie named Becca Bo Peep Monster or Becca for short and one ginger cat named Fynn and once cow spotted cat named Charlie.
Rich and I miscarried our first baby, a boy named R.J. May of 2017. We hope to start trying again in August to complete our family.

Other Information:
I would like to talk to anyone trying to lose weight, eat healthier or manage their diabetes.

    Thanks for the blog comment. We're doing AirBnB houses so I won't really have a gym, but I'll have running shoes! The biggest issue will probably be the weather. Seattle and Vancouver = rain all.the.damn.time. I'd like to do a hike in Seattle, and I want to do this thing called the Grouse Grind in Vancouver if weather allows.

    Heh well it's a huge secret, but I'll tell you: the key to me losing weight is to actually listen to my nutritionist and not eat whatever the hell I want. WHO KNEW!?!?!??!! She has me on 1500 calories, 36% protein (a lot!!!!), 20% fat (a little!!!), and 44% carbs. Totally changed the way I eat, so now I'm all about protein shakes, greek yogurt, and egg whites. But for 3.6 pounds in a month? I can do this.

    Thanks for checking in on me. Goals are going OK but I'm still working on getting all the protein I need without going over on calories. The scale jumped down this week somewhat unexpectedly though!! How are you doing?

    Hi Mary - thanks for the comment on my community feed picture. I clicked to see what was up and just want you to know I am so very sorry for your loss. My hubby and I lost our third baby (we have two living children) right before Christmas at 12 weeks and that is the single most worse thing ever. Lots of love and prayers and best of luck on your journey. WE CAN DO THIS
