I recently moved to Raleigh NC from South Florida. With this move I seemed to trade salads for hush puppies and my weight conscience single swingin for malts and the "settled down" life. Not only have I moved to a region with AMAZING food and the Paula Dean mentality but also have adopted the dreaded "relationship diet" (or lack there of). I had followed the South Beach diet very strictly for about 5 months. This included eating about 15-20 g carbs a day, low fat and low calorie. Walking 5 miles a day and dedicating about all my energy to weight loss. I dropped about 30 lbs. Slowly after my 27th birthday I started getting lax. Cheating here and there, social drinking and binges. I still maintained a pretty strict workout schedule and kept my real-bad-ness to a couple times on the weekend. About January - February of last year I started taking diet pills and dropped a lot of weight fast again. But then came the real kicker.
About 3 months ago I moved in with my boyfriend and got a new doggie. Diet SLID way below a healthy point on my priority list - From the mid week "i will START up again on Monday" to my "eff it. Im over dieting, I will just be fat. I still work out 5-6 times a week and dont drink."
A couple weeks ago I came down with strep. Had absolutely no energy or motivation. Felt horrible about myself and then got on the Doctors Scale. Once I saw in plain veiw that I have gained about 15 lbs since I moved to Raleigh, I figure it is time to start up again.
So here I am. Another attempt. With no vacations, birthday (cakes) or excuses for screwin up again and losing my edge I am going to try to ease myself back into it.

My Goals:
I would like to THINK 135 but without obsessing over it. If I could lose the 15 lbs that I packed on over the past few months, I would be elated. I have the jean goals. The skirt goals. The fat face goals. Pretty much - just to feel good about myself.

My Program:
The most difficult part for me right now is trying to do the mental shift from Failed South Beach Diet to eating right. Ive been focusing on "low carb" and then screwing up daily. There really is no point when i eat 10 carbs before 5 pm then screw up and down an easy 75 carbs at night.
As of now this is my daily attempt:
Wake up at 5:30 and walk for an hour.
Coffee with very little cream on my way to work. Oatmeal type breakfast. Fruit mid-morning snack. Lean Cuisine lunch. Veggie afternoon snack. water water water. Healthy and filling dinner which is mostly veggies with some protein. And I really need to get back with JELLO.

My downfalls are usually Burgers and anything ice cream related.
I AM a sugar addict. I grew up with an old fashioned mama who used to bake cookies and take me for ice cream after school on Fridays. Or McDonalds. When I had a headache, she said it was low blood sugar and gave me chocolate. When I need motivation for anything, I get "just a taste" of sugar to pep me up. It makes me happy and I love it but i need to find an alternative.
If I had to chose a last meal it would probably be this:
Bacon Cheeseburger and fries. Chocolate marshmellow Malt. Some kind of ice cream with loads of sauces on it and brownies under. and carrott cake.

    Just wanted to say your beautiful and I think you are doing an amzing job so far ! I have a 'Sassy" too she is a Min Pin and we spell it different but she is deffinatly Sassy ! Your Sassie is adorable :)

    Just joined the Boston lovers team..lost my Nickles 2 years ago after having her for 15 years. Anyway,looking at your photo album... and your so called 'fat face' pic...WHERE IS THE FAT??? Its a beautiful pic dear.
