Hi there! Michele here. I was on a journey to lose weight (again) for the big wedding day. My goal was to lose 40 pounds, and although I didn't hit the goal, I was happy to lose 32.8 pounds. It felt great. But I'm still on the mission to lose those last 7.2!! I've made great friends through SP over the years (I joined in 2004 but got really active in 2005) and together, we support each other and cheer and share our ups and downs.

My Goals:
Getting there and STAYING there. It's a battle, but with God's help, I am there!

My Program:
Doing Weight Watchers alongside Sparkpeople. I lost a good amount (over 60 pounds) with SP before, but have managed to gain quite a bit back. This time, I've got to figure out this maintenance thing.

Personal Information:
I've been doing this for a while. When I started this, I was in the midst of a divorce. That seems like a LONG time ago. I am now the single mom of a very happy, active, 7 year-old son! I live in the Los Angeles area and have been battling with weight loss for as long as I can remember. I once lost a lot of weight (and my menstrual cycle) by eating one piece of lettuce every day hahahah... then when I started eating two pieces, I gained it all back because my body had gone into starvation mode :)

    Just stopping by to say hi. Got a little carried away with the emoticons, sorry. I like St. Pats day, gives me an excuse to have a beer. I like beer but don't drink it often b/c of the calories and also, I get a little on the stupid side and try to eat the house down emoticon

    Glad you are doing fine, Hon. We can do this, we just have to keep at it every day.

    My Nathan has Cat Scans on Tuesday, so we are hoping they will be 'clean" again. His blood tests were good last month. Cancer is just an awful illness, so we hope it won't return so he can go on to medical school in the fall.
