Keeping On While My Confidence Is On
17 April 2015
Right now, my confidence level is super high. I just got a new job, although I've not yet started it. I'm just waiting for my Criminal Record check to be done. Hopefully soon! I'm also just plain feeling good because recently I was reminded that there's so much that I CAN do but haven't done them.

I've always admired those people - especially women - who just go out & grab life by the horns. I'm talking in particular about the ones who do active, adrenaline rushing things like sky diving, hang gliding, and driving race cars. I'd love to do those things and more, but I've always held back for whatever reason. Mostly it's been due to lack of funds, and that definitely is something that hasn't always been something that I can control. Some may say that it is, but when you've worked hard on looking for work and nothing comes your way, then a lack of funds is something you can't control, unless you turn criminal - THAT'S something I'm NOT going to do.
Another thing that I've allowed to hold me back is my weight. Yes, that does keep me from doing some of the things that I really want to do, but not nearly as much as I've allowed myself to think. Yes, it IS a hindrance, but I can do something about my weight. I can be more active, and I've started on that. I can eat healthily, & I do generally do that.
One more key factor in my holding back from has been mental. I've told myself that I can't do something, although I never actually tried. How have I actually known that I can't do something if I didn't even try it? I've had an attitude change over the past few months, and now I'm ready to say, "YES!!"
I'm excited about this change in my attitude, and I know that it can only be good for me. I look forward to doing things and to have incredible adventures instead of hearing about those of others. I may not go out and do lots of adrenaline junkie things, but I will take more risks instead of holding back and merely wanting to do stuff.
