Hello Sparkers!!! I figured a New Year means a new intro. I am a single mom taking my new improved healthy lifestyle one day at a time. I enjoy discovering new foods to try and sharing the experience with my little man.
I am obsessed with yoga!! I try to attend at least 4 classes a week and my son attends two classes. I find it very calming in my crazy life. Plus it amazes me how far I can get my body to bend.
I reached my short term goal within my first 3 months of joining Spark people. My boss had lost 70lbs. using all the spark tools and once my doctor said "That's it, you have to lose the weight." I logged in and set up my account with his help. He Spread the Spark! I pay it forward everytime someone asks how I did it, I think I am going to have business cards printed up with all my Sparkformation on it :)
I am excited to begin this new year with new goals, hopes & dreams with all of you! Love & Rockets...

My Goals:
To drop 15lbs. in the first 3 months-12/2/2011
Have a meatless day every Tuesday-8 weeks done
Do a Bow pose- Done 1/15/12

Lower my cholesterol-
Get off my hbp meds-
Run a 5k- 2/11/2012 Cupid's Cup DONE!!!!


My Program:
I am trying to lower my cholesterol by changing my eating habits and exercising more.
I now do yoga a minimum of 3x a week.
I ride the stationary bike 2x a week for 30 minutes or more.
I do strength training 2x a week.
NO FRIED FOODS!!!
NO RED MEAT!!!!
NO WHITE BREAD!!!
Lots of fruits & veggies

    Oh my gosh - your comment on my blog is SO TRUE! Some people are brought up that a "real dinner" must have meat, bread & potatoes. I was brought up that it meant going out to eat, and you better eat everything, and if not they wasted their money on you. It took me years, and I still struggle with it, to learn how to cook at home and eat a balanced meal. A plate full of veggies IS OKAY. My mom would let my sister order nachos at Applebees for her dinner - for YEARS. Maybe she was trying to avoid a battle with us, but instead she created one we'll be fighting for a long time. Good luck to you in your battle, and as always - thank you sooo much for your support in mine!
