1/20/10: I'm baaaaaaaaaaack!!!!! I have not logged in to my SparkPage for wayyy too long (summer 08, I'm thinkin?) and it's time to get rockin' again and drop my final 25#!!!!

In the time since I last logged in, I've gone through SO much ~ the end of my marriage, moving, easing my daughter through our divorce while still being the (single) mom she needs and deserves, going back to work part time to support us in our new life, and moving into our own perfect little place. Oh, and falling in love with an amazing man, too! =o)

I've managed to maintain my weight and somehow lost a bit more this summer through everything! However, I quit my "part-time" smoking habit in October, and that combined with stress, heavier winter meals, and less time for exercise ~ I've put a few pounds back on. NOWAY am I going to gain more! I'm currently 176, which is still less than I was when I last logged in, but not where I want to be. Period.

We DO eat healthy for the most part, lean meat, fresh/frozen
produce, and whole grains are the mainstays in our diet. I buy as much organic and 100% natural as possible, as well.

The problem is that I've let the portion sizes creep up again and with less time in a day as a single mom, I'm guilty of eating out more this last year. Always making sure Mar gets the healthy options, but not always doing so for myself.

I'm back on the "Goodbye Chub Club" (just made that up, ha ha ha!) and am ready to rock!

***below is my "old" introduction and can be ignored. I chose to just add this update and leave the old for personal and motivational reasons***

I'm a SAHM, student, Avon lady, custom tutu makin', photography/Photoshop nerd!

My hubby and I have been married almost 6 years and our little princess just turned 3; the most perfect lil girl ever! (not that we're bias!)

I have hypothyroidism, PCOS, and severe endometriosis ~ all health conditions that greatly affect my weight and energy level. I've recently gained 20# in 5 months despite eating whole, healthy foods for the majority. (I do have an insatiable chocolate tooth, but keep it in check for the most part.)

I'm down 20# since January, but haven't been here tracking for awhile now. I want to get back to it, so I'm refreshing my page and my motivation again!

Fitness Minutes: 2,170

My Goals:
1. Keep cutting back on dining-out.
2. Gradually shrink portions while keeping my blood sugar balanced with small snacks.
3. Limit whole grains/carbs, bad news for PCOS and something I've forgotten about.

ACTIVITY: I'm pulling my Tony Little Gazelle out of the garage tomorrow and will be starting off with 15 minutes, 3x per week.

LOGGING: This was one of the best changes in my last weight loss journey...I won't be able to get to it everyday, but will log at least 4 days per week for now.

My Program:
*Keep on tracking!
*Remember to snack.
* Get moving!
*Watch carbs
*Calorie intake of 1300 daily.

I'm an artsy-fartsy type ~ current project of choice is making custom tutu's for little girls ~ SO FUN! It started with the fairy costume I made Mar for Halloween...mommies saw it and wanted one for their lil princess too. I'm currently working on tutu #10 ~ must find time to make a new one for Mar, she loves modeling them, but has asked very sweetly for a new on of "her vewwy own now". How can I refuse?!

    We all have those good and bad days. On a bad day it's always tempting to say, "I should just give up" or "I'm not worthy" etc... but the real key to success is that we all have those days and we just keep going despite them.

    Just pick a small step today, then another tomorrow --

    Do you work during the day? Try to take the time to walk throughout the day. 10 minutes in the morning, 10 at lunch and 10 in the afternoon. That's 30 minutes of walking! Also, remember why you are doing this. Go back and review your goals. What made you decide that you were done being overweight? What made you decide to get healthy? Go back and revisit those goals to remotivate you! We all hit a rough patch and most of us if not all of us has lost our motivation at least once. I lose mine every couple of months emoticon emoticon I wouldn't beat myself up over going over my calorie range for a couple of days. You didn't go way over right? Then I wouldn't worry about it. Sometimes after not working out for 2 weeks, it's hard to get back into the swing of things. Start off with things you enjoy doing. If you like yoga, do that. If you like to walk or run, do that. Don't do a boring workout of things you don't like, that will not motivate you back into it!! emoticon I'm glad you have a little bit of you time this weekend. Although I'm sure you'll miss your little princess! I call my cat princess even though her name is Bella, my mom laughs at me. hehehe Just sit down this weekend, make some new goals, revisit old goals and refocus on you. No better time like the present! I hope some of this advice will help. It's always easier said then done sometimes. And I'm always here for whinning! I may even join in a time or two!! emoticon emoticon
