Life moves too quickly to spend it hiding in the shadows. This isn't Junior High. Don't waste time worrying about how you look or what other people think about you. Get out there and LIVE! You're gonna make the world a better place, just by being YOU!
(Of course, that may mean picking up a hula hoop, or ukulele, or accordion...)
SPARK ON, BRAVE SPARKERS!!!

My Goals:
Be a Joy Ninja, no matter my size or weight.

My Program:
Track food and fitness with Spark apps. Participate in SP community. Keep streaking. Live life TODAY!

Personal Information:
I'm Shelli. I'm 51, married to the best guy, with a young adult son and teenage daughter. We live close to Cincinnati and share a house with Bubba the Incorrigible Bulldog. I'm Creative Arts Pastor for an awesome church. I love to hula hoop and play quirky instruments. If you hang out on social media, I'm at ShellSquared on Facebook and YouTube and @realshellsquared and @mostmom on Instagram.

Other Information:
Years ago, I lost 51 pounds by following another program. I felt amazing. I had so much energy and I felt like myself again. I was ready to maintain, but the program said I still needed to lose 35 more pounds. That seemed impossible to me. Discouraged, I quit, and put all the weight back on. My dad gently pointed me towards SP, because he's a member. I joined in Nov., 2010, but didn't really start working the program until March 2011. I've been up and down, but I'm loving it! This a place, where I can set realistic goals, be encouraged, and achieve success.

I just finished reading your blog and was really happy to do so. I must say I had a smile on my face while doing so. I didn't realize how much I missed reading and watching your videos. I hope you are well and returning to writing your blogs. I feel like you are a lost friend that I can't seem to found.

    hi there,
I haven't connected with you in awhile.

I just moved to another state 3 weeks ago, and boy is that something else. I left my church of 35 plus years, my fam, my friends, my area.

We just went to a different church, and it was more homey than our first attempt. We will see where that goes.

I just came across by serendipity your blog about turning 50. I got a kick out of it, It was entertaining and you have such a great sense of humor.

Now my husband ha an entire different attitude about this aging thing. He told me I was middle aged prematurely. He also claimed we were seniors at 50. Not 52, 55, 60, . So I tuned 65 and said, okay, since they put it on my ID, that lasts for years

. As you say, it do think its more about attitude and health. Like you said, I love to learn new things constantly and try to keep that up. I do think I'm still a homeschooler Mom. HA HA our son is in his 30's. I was thinking about all the cool things I could teach the kids across the street because they are in an educational co-op.

I know the children were hoping to have new kids to play with. However, they wave at me, and the younger ones were hugging my leg and showing me their collections of all kinds. I'm not so sure the parents were as thrilled at all my experience.

I think we should be happy, generous, use our gifting's, and in our case also involves faith.

Anyhow, it was a pleasant thing to read your blog during all these transitions...

I did meet one lady here off one of my groups from different smaller town in this area.

I do recall you have a large yard too, and we had apartments and duplexes. It rather nice to have property , other than the BUGS.
