    Take a minute and think about your personal self-esteem. Do you think highly of yourself? Are you always giving 110%? Do other people look up to your positive attitude? There are times in all of our lives when we could use a self-esteem boost. It is easy to get discouraged in our fast paced society. It is crucial for you to remember that you must always think highly of yourself because most people only see how you treat yourself. So, think about it. Are you giving a message to others that says, I am successful, I give 110%...as this journey is more than losing weight!

    The truth is that once you start to exercise and lose weight, the longer you keep at it----the easier it gets. Mostly, because your new choices and behaviors become routine---automatic. However, once that routine is broken (for example--moving, change in marital status, having a child etc.) the excuses come rolling in---and excuses are the enemy of responsibility, change and success!

    We make excuses for many reasons, but mostly because we're not fully committed to what we want to change, so it's easy for outside influences to distract us from our intended goals. If you always have an answer ready to contradict, your common and not--so common excuses, you'll have a greater likelihood of reaching and maintaining your weight-loss goal. In order to help you to stay on course, find ways to "bust" or break your excuses.
