Greetings fellow Sparkpeople!!! Live it up!!!

I joined Sparkpeople in July 2011. I really like Sparkpeople because it has so much info and tools to be successful not just at weight loss, but a healthier lifestyle.

To be honest I have had several ups and downs since 2011. I did a different program last year in which I had success, but I also burned out. I am realizing that it was not the best fit for me, and I missed Sparkpeople. So here I am. I feel A LOT better now being back here, and have peace.

My goal weight is 138, which is my lowest weight I reached in 2011. I really want to focus on the baby steps, and my short term goals for right now.

I have a dream to run a half marathon again, and to one day run a full marathon.

My Goals:
My short term goals are to walk every day with my dog, just drink water, and get a full 8 hours of sleep. I think getting 8 hours during the week is the most difficult.

My long term goals are to not give up on myself and keep off whatever weight I lose. I want to get back into jogging. I really would like to run a half marathon again, and my dream is to run a full marathon one day. The "not giving up on myself" is THE most important.

My Program:
My program includes tracking all food intake and getting on SP daily. This week I am going to put together an exercise plan to start this Saturday (I wanted to take the 1st 2 weeks of my program to get back into tracking and watching food intake, and to just take some baby steps).

Personal Information:
My name is Heather. I am 41 years old and have been on for 6 years. Where has the time gone???

I am a born-again Christian, an opera singer, and a huge fan of Lord of the Rings and Narnia.

I have a wonderful supportive husband, and 3 pets: Lucy, Honey, and Bran. Lucy and Honey are my cats, and they are sweet and gorgeous! Bran is the sweetest dog I have ever known. He is such a good boy!

Other Information:
"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." -Philippians 4:13

"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint."
-Isaiah 40:31

"...Because as He is, so are we in this world..."
-1 John 4:17

"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus, that, although He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that you through His poverty may become rich." - 2 Corinthians 8:9

"He who did not spare His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will he not along with Him also freely give us all things?"
-Romans 8:32

Hi, welcome to Sparkpeople..I hope you enjoy this website as much as I do. I have gotten so much out of it. I have met some wonderful folks on this website.
The website can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but don't give up.(All the advertising can feel distracting, but it keeps the website free for all of us. Just ignore it if you want.) Explore a little at a time.
Scroll through other member pages, if you see anyone you would like to have as a spark friend, just click the little button at the top and that will add them to your friend list.
If you are confused, ask questions on the Messages Boards, under the Get Help section.
You might want to join a few teams that interest you and check their message boards daily. Scroll through other Sparkpeople’s pages to see what teams they joined. You can always withdraw from the team if you find it really doesn't interest you. It can take a little bit of time to get used to the website.
Under the Message Boards tab, check out Sparkpeople Café and the Sparkpeople Game Room. There are a lot of fun running posts on these message boards.
Check your Sparkpoint page and see where you can earn more points. It’s fun to use the points to buy and give the ‘goodies’ to yourself or to other sparkpeople.
    Be kind to yourself. Take it one day at a time. Expect set backs and just ride them out. Don't compare yourself to others, you are unique and an individual. Have some fun with this new journey you are on, don’t beat yourself up. We all fall down.We all need help sometimes to get back up;
Don’t ever give up, instead, reach out. That is what we are all here for.
It gets better, one day at a time. I think of daily food control like a book. One page (day) is not very thick, hardly seems worth the effort, but when you close the book the thickness of all the pages (days) together really have an impact. It is up to you to decide if the story is a good one.
You are going to fly. Just spread those wings and start flapping! emoticon
