Introduction Text I stumbled across Sparkspeople by accident when looking for a nutritional calculator - what a prize!! I absolutely love this site! I'm pretty shy and am not really sure of what to say/do. Hopefully by using all the tools offered here I'll overcome some of my shyness and most importantly take better care of myself.

I really just want to get motivated for exercise again. I did so great until we retired and I'm really feeling it mentally and physically.

Start slow, be consistant, and enjoy!

I'm living in Naples, FL having moved here from Connecticut, but I'm originally from Alabama. I have a very dear and loving significant other who shares my life and my two grown daughters.

Absolutely love computers (that was my working life in Connecticut). Love to read i.e., Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, Jonathan Kellerman (and his wife Faye also), almost any kind of mystery. I also LOVE to cook and organize!! I have two daughters, both of whom live in Alabama and both just got married last year (2010). My oldest just had my first grandchild in March 2012
