HI! Welcome to my page.

Getting ready for the Winter Challenge to start! I am not a snow person anymore....I enjoy looking at it but I do not enjoy being out in it - especially driving. Unfortunately I need to work for a living so I need to drive it in periodically! You will hear me complain about it until March (just so you know and can be prepared).

I belong to two awesome groups here on SprarksPeople. One is the Biggest Loser Challenge where I am the Weight Loss Leader for the Pink Flamingos. The other is the 5% Weight Loss Challenge and I am a Spirited Under Dawg.

My Pink Flamingo challenge starts December 3rd and will run for 10 weeks. The Spirited Under Dawg challenge just ended but will be starting up again in a few weeks and that runs for 8 weeks.

I love both of these challenges, groups and people. Being part of a group makes weight loss so much easier.

My boyfriend (Herb) had knee surgery on July 1, 2019 - hopefully this will be the last one, he started rehabbing in November. He goes twice a weeks. Keep your fingers crossed and say all the prayers you can! This has been a long stressful process for both of us.

I have been with sparkspeople for a long time but have had some set backs and I was on and off the wagon many times. Starting in January 2017 I have stayed with it and have not given up.

I re-learned how to exercise, eat right and most importantly stay in contact with my groups for support. Although my eating habits have a tendency to get out of hand (especially when I am stressed) - I try hard every day to make the right decisions (some days I fail but most days I succeed) - I love to eat and I have a big sweet tooth!

I am so thankful for all my friends here on SparksPeople - they are so motivational and help me stay on track. And are always there to get me back on track after a stressful day.

I have also found it very helpful to blog and I do not get blogs posted as often as I would like but when I get them posted I love to hear the feedback from everyone. Take a look some of my blogs and leave me a message!!

The beginning of 2018 I was 230 lbs and the end of 2018 I was 220 lbs. Which is a 10 lb loss for the year which is awesome but over the last 9 months I have gained 19 lbs. I am currently at 239 lbs - not happy about it, but I'm moving forward.

I am actually happy in my body. I do not look in the mirror and cringe, but I know 239 is not a healthy weight for me. I am still working hard and dealing with stress the best I can and I know I will reach my goals.

My Goals:
My short term goals is to be under 235 lbs by December 31, 2019.


My Program:
Eating right, exercising 6 days a week (with cardio and strength training), and taking time for me. I found yoga in 2018 and love it. I do that at least once a week, I do Refit and that is super fun! I do my exercise videos from youtube and just added Walking Away The Pounds. I want to add jumping rope to my workout also.



Personal Information:
I am from Scranton, PA. I am engaged, 48 years old and live with one dog, one kitten, one fiancee and one step-daughter.


Other Information:
I enjoy reading and watching TV - two very stationary activities. I am working on being more active with youtube videos and working around the house on many much needed projects. I hope Herb is able to walk soon and we will be able to do a lot more outside activities!

    Hello :), I was looking at your pictures and your dogs are so beautiful! May I ask what breed the bigger dark colored one is? He looks like a shephard mix but Im not sure hes/shes so cute though! :)
