Introduction Text I'm a Spark member since August 2010~ thank you to fellow Irishman Jake O Callihan for sharing the site with me. I'm looking forward to continued success with changing my life and having support to work towards my goals as well as supporting others in working towards theirs. Everything in life is better (and more fun) when you have friends!

I would love to feel healthier overall, and believe that by losing weight I will find renewed energy and discover how good I can feel again physically. As a side note, and ONLY a side note, it would be fabulous to look great again too!

I've always found that one of my biggest challenges is eating enough calories! I actually work against myself by not consuming enough, and my body goes into a 'starvation/survival' mode. I am going to monitor my calorie intake, striving to consume at least the minimum number of recommended calories per day, which should help my body recognize that I am not starving it. (This should increase my metabolism, so I can burn off some calories, and drop some weight).

I live in New Hampshire, and have been here for 32 years. I love this state for all it has to offer; especially its natural beauty. Within NH you can find mountains, oceans, lakes, and a personal favorite: forests. I am so fortunate to have a beautiful wooded area right outside of my own back door. I love my little corner of the world, and have raised my children here. I'm a grandmother now (how did that happen so soon?) and spend many happy hours with my grandson Talon and granddaughter Jade. I have a busy life, and lots of stress like everyone else, but one thing I can always depend on is nature. It helps keep me balanced; spending time with nature eases stress. I count my blessings and I am thankful for that which I do have instead of being miserable over what I do not have. I try to be of service to others in any way I can, I believe we should be good to each other, and I believe that humor is remarkable for its ability to help us through the rough times, and see through ours

Favorite books- so many. Always reading more than one at a time, and usually some sort of reference books as well. Never stop learning, or you will stop living an interesting life. Favorite movies- My Cousin Vinny- classic. This one has it all....quotable lines, stereotypical characters, fabulous wardrobes and loaded with laughs. Lots more, but hey, we can talk about those later!
