Thankful for my life, now time to appreciate it.

It's been years since I've actively participated in SP. I was in a near fatal car accident in Aug. 2015 and have worked hard to recouperate from a broken neck, broken tibia plateau and 3rd degree burn on my leg from the engine block. I'm thankful every day that there were angels on earth to come to my aid and that I've been given additional time with my loved ones.

To do that, I need to start taking better care of myself, get my diabetes under control and lose weight so my leg and back can hold me up.

Current weight is 210. Goal weight - 175
Current activity level - very little. Goal for activity - 1 hour per day

Lose 35 lbs by 9--30-2016 by eating healthy, exercising and getting positive reinforcement from friends and peers.

My Program:
Shop the perimeter of the store

Going to exercise at the pool at least 3X per week

Walking 30 mins or climbing stairs every day.

Drink lots of water

Use the 40% Carbs, 30% Protien & 30% Fat ratio for my daily cals. This works best with my diabetes.

Personal Information:
I live in Kemmerer, Wyoming. My name is Charlotte. I have 2 grown children and I am married. I run a rental businesses and I love to quilt! I am very good at organizing for other people, so now I am going to organize my health routine and make it work.

Other Information:
My BMR currently is 1948 with sedentary daily activity (1623 x 1.2). To have 500 cal/day deficit = 1448 avg. intake. If I want to lose 2 lbs. per week need to also do about 500 calorie burn in exercise. I am limited on amount of activity and endurance sine my car wreck, so I'm setting my goal at 1 lb per week instead of 2.

    I've let down in recent months but have decided that July will be a month of accomplishment - at least in the areas of health and weight!

    emoticon Been away from SPARK for awhile due to life's busy chores.
    In the last three weeks I have:
    emoticon gardened, gardened, gardened. the rainy weather made the grass grow so much, I had 8 new rose bushes, annuals and perennials to fool with and weeds, weeds, weeds.
    emoticon My Son graduated from high school and ALL the family came in. I did ALL the cooking for a whole week which meant groceries, cooking, cleaning, and starting all over again. Plus, the house needed to be in tip top shape. Have I made you tired yet?
    emoticon Training for that marathon was a priority. I kept up with it and the big day is Sunday. 26.2 here I come. emoticon
    emoticon SPent the last two weekends up at the cabin. Boy is there snow and no internet. Trying to fit in laundry and household while working during the week makes it hard.

    I thought the same thing when I heard that Mr. K had died- maybe by the time his son got in there his dad was beyond recieving phone calls.
    I will miss him, for sure.
    He was such a people person- right up to the end. Every time I saw him he said 'So how's your family?'
