Hey! I found a local 5k walk/run and 1 mile walk/run. It's in April and it's put on by the Ymca and girl scouts. Let me know if you'd be interested in doing it and I'll get you the registration info. It's for families so the kids can do it too.

"Beautiful Woman Award! Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the wall of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out"

Hope you had a great weekend!

Thanks for your comment! I struggled a lot with the gym when I started. It was a full week into my Spark program before I even made it down there, and I felt so uncomfortable and out of place. I would turn around and leave at the slightest excuse. I pushed myself through it, and gave myself permission to start slow (my first week was 10 minutes treadmill, 10 minutes elliptical).

I've been at it for just under three months now, and I'm up to about an hour a day, five days a week. Three of those are a Couch to 5K program (If you're a weak runner like I was, it's a fantastic way to break into it). I'm amazed at how comfortable I've gotten with the place in that short of time, and I've never been more fit. The key for me was to build it up gradually and to set obtainable goals for myself.

    Hope this helps! emoticon
