I hit the age of 50 and found that I weighed as much then as I did immediately before I delivered my son-17 years ago. I find this unacceptable and want to make lifestyle changes to find a healthier and skinnier me.

My Goals:
My goal is to reduce my BMI from obese to merely overweight and in the process become more physically fit. Reached in April 2011.
Now I have 17 pounds to lose to have a normal BMI.
My Program:
I am trying to follow a 1250 calorie meal plan and give up alcoholic beverages. In addition I am attending Pilates classes for strength training and flexiblity and I am getting on my damn elliptical trainer for 30 minutes a day.
Personal Information:
I am a physician who should have known better than to let myself get so fat and flabby. I live in central Indiana where Winter is cold, gray and rainy. I hate winter.
Other Information:
My stepson recently died and I am really having difficulty controlling myself. I feel sorry for myself. I have used my grief as an excuse to be on the see food diet. Any food I see, I eat(and eat and eat and eat).
