Thanks for the advice! I do swim, and I enjoy playing around in the water though I get rather bored with laps. But I can only swim in the summer--I don't have access to an indoor pool.
Part of my problem continues to be that I don't have many local friends, period. I have more than i had at my old place--but still not many, and because everyone has busy schedules we don't get together all that often. I imagine that I would have a lot more fun being active if I had friends with me, but I need to have friends I can be active with, locally (I have a lot of friends, just not very many in town).
Unfortunately, outdoor activities in the late fall through early spring are not really an option for me. I have both exercise and cold induced asthma, and even a slightly brisk walk can trigger it in the winter. I used to enjoy cross country skiing and ice skating, but I don't even have the equipment any more.
I'll keep trying new things, and in the meantime do my best to make myself stay active. 4057 days ago
