I want my life to be large. I want to live my life to the fullest. To do that I have to define my life by how healthy I am in mind, body and spirit. I can no longer define my life by the size of my pants or the numbers on the scale. Starving, binging, purging and compulsive overeating are no longer options for me. I want to set an example, by the way I live my life, of having a healthy relationship with food, exercise and my body image, for my daughter Alexa.

My Goals:
To continue in my recovery from an eating disorder that has included bulimia, starvation and compulsive overeating. To have a healthy relationship with food and exercise. To keep my focus on gaining strength and energy, as opposed to loosing weight. As weight loss becomes the natural by-product of my lifestyle , to work through my fear and allow my body to be and remain at a lower weight. To not let these goals turn into a diet as I continue to loose weight.

My Program:
On 12/31/07 I went back to making weight training and cardio a regular part of my life (I wanted to beat the 1/1/08 rush to the gym). I have renewed my committment to feed myself according to my "stomach" hunger and to refrain from emotional and/or stress overeating. I stop eating when I begin to feel full and try to avoid feeling "stuffed" or "starved". After 14 years of recovery from bulimia, including, binging and vomiting, abuse of laxatives and over-exercising, these behaviors are no longer options in my life. To set an example, by the way I live my life, of having a healthy relationship with food, exercise and my body image for my daughter, Alexa

I believe everything happens for a reason, so I am going to explain my mistake, but first I am going to say I truly believe I. Am supposed to receive and read all the comments left here. So thank you for your concern, love and kindness, and a validation that this WAS a very hard time in. My life. I. Say WAS because if you have read any of my other Dear Diary entries you will see that I refer to a day in my life. From the past and then I address the pain of my eating disorder. From the voiceof my eating disorder speaking back to me. I have 17 years of recovery bulimia, I am 46 years old, this is from 1991. I am so sorry that I. Was not more clear. None the less, your comments are soothing the left over emotional scars, thankyou again. Please feel free to follow me on one of my facebook pages, either "Size Of My Life" or "Eating Disorder Diary"
