Here we are in year 2020.... As a child I thought 2020 would have us living like the Jetsons, flying around the cosmos, instant beauty, instant meals, and while I never thought of it then, instant weight loss! We are not exactly like the Jetsons, but we have plenty of instant everything, even instant weight loss if you go keto, but that is not sustainable for me!
Towards the end of 2019 I battled 2 bouts of pneumonia, caught 2 separate colds which were serious, and all I wished for the new year was health!

Health! That is what everyone is hoping & praying for as we try to navigate our way thru this pandemic and new world! As many others I find myself totally stressed out and like many others find myself eating my way thru the dull, days alone at home!

My WW group as well as my 5% weight loss group, the Spirited Underdogs, highly recommend establishing a routine to help cope! I work from home anyhow, so no big change there, but am having a hard time motivating myself to actually work! The only routine I have maintained are my daily workouts with Pahla b. Fitness! But, each day I try a little harder to get sleep, measure my food, do something other than eat away my fears!

Now, time to lose that weight I gained after being so sick at the end of 2019! NOW! so I shall keep hopping along, hoping & praying not for weight loss..... I know that if if weight loss is meant to be then it is up to me, but for this virus to pass and for us to be able to adapt to the new world that awaits when it is over and I have faith it will be over!

My Goals:
Once again, I'm doing baby steps as if this is my first rodeo with weight loss! Tracking, tracking, tracking! Drinking my water, eating my freggies, exercising! Snacking is where I need to get a grip, so I am going to use a tip from WW and make a snack container each day with pre-portioned, point friendly snacks that fit into my budget and once that container is empty, that ends my snacking for the day! Today is my first day of this new habit!

My Program:
I am using the My WW Blue program for my nutrition. since Curves is closed, I am following Pahla B. fitness and the weekly Mini-Challenge workout plan. I am also continuing my daily walk/jog inside or outside if I can. I am also doing alot more foam rollering and yoga for lower back pain!

Personal Information:
I am totally blind as a result of Type 1 Diabetes & living a wild life in my teens and early 20s! I celebrated 50 years of diabetes on May 21, 2019! Pretty awesome I've lived this long! I am now battling kidney disease as well as being blind. so, more than ever healthy eating is a priority!

I am married and live in beautiful southside Virginia! I have a wonderful & supportive husband. We have a 4 legged baby girl named Sassy. Yes, she is spoiled and maybe a bit crazy! but, we love her to pieces!

I am trained in belly dancing & even performed on a cruise ship! I enjoy water aerobics, swimming, walking/jogging, am addicted to Pahla Bowers workout videos and Curves. Curves has a new dance workout program for those in between machine times and I love it!

Other Information:
I love reading and especially enjoy psychological thrillers, mysteries, stories featuring dogs and the occasional occult novel like Stephen King or Dean Koontz.

I am a Type 1 Diabetic. Diagnosed at age 4. Losing weight will NOT cure my diabetes. As of now there is NO cure!
