I am now a 71 year old, obese, wife, mother, and grandmother, sister & aunt from Pennsylvania. I have been eating smarter. Had lost a significant amount of weight. Then gained about 80 lbs. back, from the end of 2016 to 2018. Slowly turned it around in 2019, down about 25 -30 lbs. So, in 2020 I am committing to get back to healthier eating, moving more, and living healthier! I need motivation to exercise, make myself go out. I am striving to sleep 5 hours most nights, eat cleaner, smarter, and dump the negative mental messages. I need to avoid junk..both in my food choices and life! Avoiding Stress and anxiety is a battle. But, I CAN ~ I WILL ~ and I WON'T QUIT!

I caught your comments on yesterday's blog. Oh, my mother would DEFINITELY have had things to say about my fall. :)

Seriously, though, I did think about it, and I don't think I cracked a rib. For one thing, while my memory of the fall itself is hazy (I mostly remember the shocked eyes above the mask of the lady walking beside me who asked if I was okay!), I did fall on my side with my left arm beneath me - that's why I have a bruise on the shoulder, brusing and scrapes on my elbow and side of that hand, and a cracked Apple Watch. My ribcage never made contact with the ground and there's definitely no external bruising. Given that it was also cushioned against my arm, I really don't think anything cracked. And it does feel so much like muscle pulls I've had in the same area in the past... Apparently that "twist to the right" is a common thing for me to do when I fall!

That said... if it doesn't improve noticeably over time (and I already do feel it's getting better), I'll make a telehealth appointment with my primary care provider and get an X-Ray appointment.

Thanks for the advice - I do appreciate it for the well-meant spirit!
