LOVING MYSELF MORE EACH DAY
I am a student at GA State and work part-time as a home health aide. I am a proud mother of 3 daughters. When I was younger I was always the darker ,skinny kid. I always wanted a shapely body and shortly after I had my children I gained the weight I had always dreamed of and was very happy at 170. But after my 3rd child I kept gaining weight and it has continued for 7 yrs. My weight has gotten out of hand due to the numerous diets that have wrecked my metabolism. But after my 3rd child I kept gaining weight and it has continued for 7 yrs. My weight has gotten out of hand due to the numerous diets that have wrecked my metabolism. I would always lose a little but gain it back plus a little more. Now at 247lbs my health has become more important than my appearance. I am determined to alter my genetic makeup and be the exception not the rule. My family is mostly African American so we do everything around food, and its acceptable to be bigger, its part of the culture so its been hard to eat healthy without the ridicule. But I want to be happy and healthy.
