    Hey Cindy, i remember floundering around in my first month. i think in my first month i only lost like 4 pounds... its a matter of switching from low carbs to high carbs, eat more fruits in your day, have smaller portions and about 6 meals for the day. actually i go to a gym in Sri Lanka! haha.. cos thats where i am from... for a moment i thought u were from here too... and over here the trainers arent too good, or rather i dont like being watched while i work out! i follow the advice given by spark for exercise. basically i eat healthier and i exercise... i was very consistent earlier on in my regime, and after about the first 20 pounds i lost track.. this is my third attempt at loosing weight, but i just hopped back on board. dont loose track with spark and it will keep u on track... keep talking to people about ur issues and frustrations, that is the best thing i ever got from spark.

    Cindy, you are so very VERY welcome. I remember those first days and the 3 (or is it 4?) plateaus I have hit in my journey. I just keep reminding myself of the things I said on your post. I am changing my life, not just losing weight. My best advice for the future is to browse around the teams and see if any of them is particularly active and encouraging. If you're around during the day I would suggest checking out the 20 somethigns with 20+ pounds to lose Group Forum. It's more like a chat room. There are a bunch of us that chat on there all day long most days. Those women are the primary reason I haven't given up yet. They celebrate when I celebrate and cheer me on when I'm down and want to drown my sorrows in hostess cupcakes. ;) Like I said, Just Keep On Swimmin'!!
