I joined SP in May, 2012. I retired in January 2013 after 34 yrs with the same company. Now I will have the time to do things I love doing and not be ruled by clocks. My goal is better health and well being. I enjoy friends, my dogs, gardening and exercising. I am glad to be part of Spark Team and I love the website.

Fitness Minutes: 368,118

My Goals:
Food goal - eat three healthy meals each day and stay between 1500-1800 calories

Fitness goal - exercise minimum of 120 minutes per day. (walking and yoga)

My Program:
 I try to be conscious of food selections and quantity of food. If I can just begin each day with exercise (45 min walking the dogs) I have a better day meeting my food/fitness goals.


Personal Information:
Born in Colorado but l have lived in Nebraska, Oregon, Missouri and Texas. I live in Texas now and plan to live here the rest of my life. I am active member in my church. I enjoy gardening, daily yoga class, walking, and listening to books.

Other Information:
 The first thing that got me out of the house and into my neighborhood was walking my dog. Now I have two dogs and I walk with them every day.

    Thanks for the sunshine! I have to tell you though, that I'm a cold wimp..it was 49 F this am when I posted that. Luckily the sun did come out and it's now mid-60's and beautiful! Your sunshine showed up for real!

    It was one woman's suggestion that I walk Max to keep him out of trouble. He likes to walk but still will chew anything that isn't put up - toilet paper, socks. Any bone we give him he immediately hides.

    He will get fixed on Monday - poor guy.

    Someone asked me how Max felt about his resolutions and this is what I replied -Max is coming around about as well as any young boy does. "NO" in my fiercest voice is rather meaningless to him. I do not know Max's history as he came as a stranger. However, I must say in Max's defense it took him only 2 days to be perfectly crate trained, he doesn't make in the house and he knows how to fetch a yellow tennis ball. First I practice in the house and then he knew what to do outside the house.
    DS has not come around; so he lives in our bedroom that has two outer entrances and in the yard and a dog run.
    Oh, Oh, Oh - an extra plus he finds moles and plays them to death. My husband actually likes the moles and does not want to get rid of them. But I am happy.
