The short story:

I've always had a weight problem since I was a kid. I sometimes joke that I know more about weight loss than the "so called" experts because I've tried it all. My weight has fluctated with every attempt at losing weight, but I'm done. DONE!

The long story:
I've had trouble with my weight since I was a toddler. I remember the first time I ever realized I was overweight was when my cousin came to me and said, "Hey, Chunkybutt". I was 4! Throughout highschool I spent a lot of time exercising and eating healthier. I reached my goal weight of 143 after being on Atkins for 3 years. This really wreaked havoc on my health. I came off of the diet, and instantly fell in love with carbs. This caused me to eat, eat, eat!

I met my now husband in 2004, but the man loves to eat. I think part of me was trying to keep up with him. He had terrible eating habits, so it just became easier to eat the same things as him, i.e. pizza 5 days a week, ice cream, lots of meat. I don't know how long it took me to gain the weight, since I refused to step on a scale, but I evenutally balooned up to 195. This was my scary weight. I said enough!

I started Weight Watchers in March of 2007 and was down to 178, the smallest I'd been in 2 years. I got married in May and felt pretty good in my dress, but not the beach body I had dreamed of! I always felt hungry and sad, like I was missing out on all of the good things in life. It seemed like I started over every day for months! I didn't enjoy food anymore. I felt like I couldn't breathe when I exercised. I finally just accepted (settled) that this was my weight. My lax nature then allowed me to gain another 38 pounds to reach my highest weight of 215. I've allowed myself too many excuses! I'm not going to be that woman anymore!!

I recognize that this is a journey, so I appreciate any support or comments you have!
