Rotties and California!! You have warmth and furbabies on your side, emoticon

We are lucky to have you on our team. You are making such awesome progress already. You will help yourself to have successful surgery and to feel better in so many ways. You can do this.

I am a basset hound person--2 of our 4 dogs are hounds, one is a pug and the other is a doxielab (funny guy!!) I have another friend here on SP who has a statement about having a good dog will help us to get by and I really agree. I am waiting for the day that I get to walk my girls. My goal is this summer. We have a herd of other little animals--rats and rodents and guinea pigs and rescued kitties, never a horse though. My husband once had horses and his sister still does. My disabled son used to ride in a therapeutic riding program which was wonderful for him. I think I may have gotten to go horseback riding once when I was in junior high--I remember it being so hard to get on the animal and how I worried about being so heavy and too hard on it. I would love another chance to try, maybe I'll consider that a new goal further down the road. I have a lot of goals for now and I don't want to lose sight of the realistic or my priorities. First thing first.

I hope that you enjoy SP and we help you to get where you are going. I had back and knee surgeries. I can promise you that the surgeries on my knees (replacements) were the best thing I ever did. It is so good not to have all of the different kinds of pain in my knees that I had constantly. Now, my knees don't give out from under me or lock up or make me fall down stairs. What a great relief. I am sure you are excited to think about all of this. You will do what you need to in order to have a successful procedure and become more mobile.

    Best of luck!!
    Sylvia

PS--I mentioned how I have furbabies, but there is little warmth here in Illinois or in any state anywhere near us right now. At 54 and with arthritis and the rest, this awful cold--it's not made it to the teens much since before New Year's Eve and last week's snow is turning me into an incredible recluse. I know you have cloudiness, fog and rain--and that the rainy stuff can also inflict pain, but I'd join you in less than a heartbeat!! Thanks for adding me as one of your SparkFriends! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
