I am on a life-long journey to be a healthy wife, mother & health teacher. In 2009, I started my journey @ 226 lbs. With the help of God, wonderful friends, and 3 yrs of time, I have lost 80 lbs. I have MET my goal, but I'm still working at maintaining. I feel renewed energy, and want to go after everything and anything.... Too many years were spent in the "I Can't Zone." Now, I've seen what I CAN do.
2011 was a great year for firsts. Ran my first 5k, rode a 45 mile bike ride, and did ...

2011 was a great year for firsts. Ran my first 5k, rode a 45 mile bike ride, and did a triathlon-very exciting. Since then, I've completed a couple10ks, 2 Half Marathons,several sprint triathlons, and two Olympic triathlons.

My Goals:
My goal is to be healthy for me and my family. To be a good role model to my health students.
My Program:
I follow a whole foods diet. Only whole grains, no white foods, limit sugars, and eat the 5 food groups at least for one meal. I strive for 2. Eat 4 extra servings of fruit and veggies
Personal Information:
I am a health teacher at a local private Christian school. Married to a wonderful hubby with 2 spicy children.
I'm also a Volunteer receptionist and medical biller at a Health Center as well as their bookkeeper.
Other Information:
I love dark chocolate. The darker the better. Add the peanut butter and it's bliss, put it with cheesecake and I'm in heaven.
