Hi! My name is Moni and welcome to my SparkPage!!! After my second son was born, my weight was out of control. One day reading an article in a Woman's magazine there was a write-up on SparkPeople. I logged on but did not really work the program. Well one day I was fed up with being fed-up and started working the program. My heaviest weight was well over 275 lbs. At first I would drink water. Then I worked on eating fruits and veggies. I would do 10 mins of exercise daily and now I am up to 60 mins. plus of activity. I also sign up for 5K races during the season!!! From a Couch Potato to Walk/Jogging 5Ks!!! I know I still have more work to do but I love the way I feel!! I love that I have energy and I love that I have a smile on my face from ear to ear. If I can do it - so can you. I am working on the new me one baby step at a time. So join me on this awesome journey. You won't regret it!! Take care of yourself, Hugs, Moni :-)

OHHH GF!! you KNOW I AM A SMILING!! SNOW!! SNOW!! SNOW!! It's timing isn't that great for me, but that is what it is. STILL WOOHOO SNOW!!

It's not going to hit our area really until slightly at 4, but by 6 PM it'll be going on. YEAH YEAH I work 12:30 to 7!! By 7 it'll slow down at work. Likely by 5 it'll slow down. We'll be seeing the ones who moved up here from your area and NY, MASS (though many in MA are used to this) who do the PANIC buying, and some here ALWAYS do it from days long gone. PLUS the comfort foods. LOL Water will go FLYING off the shelf, milk (many do NOT have generators, about 75% don't) so why they buy milk, unless they're putting outside, I have NO CLUE!! Batteries are now mostly purchased by older people, most of us will just charge up our devices "just in case" we lose electricity though I do not expect us too. I didn't expect that Sat AM either, but a squirrel had other ideas. As you know we do have a generator, though it doesn't do anything in my unit other than heat (Which I am EXTREMELY grateful for!). But I can charge my devices in the hallway.

I am still getting chest pains when I do to much, which includes work. But,, but but,, well if I really need to leave work, I will. I'm learning to accept the pain and HOPE when I have the heart catherization on the 19th it'll show what's up. I've asked work to be off though for a week "just in case" he ends putting in a stent. He's not sure.

It's Friday, and with much of the country having snow this week, I thought you might appreciate some winter jokes. For those of you who live in the Northern states, I know that winter is snow problem for you.
By now, all of you snow how this works - You read . . . you laugh. However, if you don't like them, please don't give me the cold shoulder.

Why do bees stay in their hives during the winter months?
    'Swarm

A wife texts her husband at work on a very cold and icy morning. . .
    "Windows frozen, won't open."
    Her husband types back:
"Gently pour some lukewarm water over it."
Wife texts back five minutes later:
"Computer is really screwed up now."

What do you call a hacker stuck in his house during a winter blizzard?
    Edward Snowed-in

Yup, ol' man winter paid us a visit. This morning I had to scrape the ice and snow off my windshield. I used my supermarket's loyalty card. I only got 10% off.

    Knock, knock.
    Who's there?
    Icy.
    Icy who?
    Icy another snowstorm coming!

    Knock, knock.
    Who's there?
    Accordion.
    Accordion who?
Accordion to the weather report it's going to snow again tomorrow.

How do snowmen get their email?
    On the winternet.

    Knock, knock.
    Who's there?
    Noah.
    Noah who?
    Noah good joke about snow?

And finally . . . Thought for today
East or West, home is best.
    There's snow place like home . . .
    Especially when it's snowing!

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your weekend, and stay cool!

It's Friday, and time for some laughs. Lately, the Friday Just for Giggles have become quite a big dill around here, but I doughnut want to taco 'bout it. However, I yam relishing the positive feedback, and I'd give a penne for your thoughts. . .

I hope you find these puns quite a-peeling because they are all "injest".

I've started investing in stocks: beef, chicken, and vegetable.
One day I hope to become a builloinaire.

I'd love to be shipwrecked on a dessert island.

Heinz recently improved the taste of its tomato sauce.
The rest of the food manufacturers were left to ketchup.

I knock on the door of the refrigerator before I open it; just in case the salad's dressing.

I was going to share another vegetable pun, but it was too corny.

And last, but not yeast . . .

Green vegetables give me gas. We're talkin' kale force winds.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
