I'm Ryan, a young, nonprofit professional in Greater Boston. I've struggled with my weight my entire life, but particularly after my mom passed away in 2008. I put on about 20 pounds in the year after her passing. In my senior year of college, in 2010, I resolved to lose the twenty pounds...and I actually did it! I dropped thirty pounds to my lowest-ever weight of 155, just in time to look great in my graduation dress. Unfortunately, the following summer I was unemployed, depressed, sprained my ankle, and a million other excuses, and I put ten pounds back on. I moved to Boston in 2011, joined the YMCA, and fell in love with Spinning, which has really motivated me to keep pushing for my ultimate goals of feeling confident in a bikini and running a triathlon. It's a long, hard road, but I'll get there!
