Hi, I''m an artist, retired art teacher. I have always struggled with my weight, lifetime member of weight watchers, Jenny Craig, etc. I have had a knee replacement almost a year ago, and need to get back in shape! I notice that carrying groceries hurts my knee, if I lose 25 or 30 pounds at least, maybe my knee will feel better? I have lost 15 recently juicing, but stopped losing the day I started eating whole raw foods. I found this group while researching vegetarian recipes. I''m going to give it a try! I hope to meet some similar strugglers to help and be helped!

My Goals:
I would like to weigh 150-55 pounds. I would like to get into much better shape. I have lost 15 pounds, but since adding whole foods 40 days ago, I have not gained or lost an ounce!

My Program:
I have been juicing with Joe Cross. I am trying to eat low fat, vegetarian meals. I am eating lots of raw fruits and vegetables. I have joined "Sue's Circuit", like Curves, and I'm going 3-4 times per week for one hour.

Personal Information:
I am from Northern California, live at Dillon BEach, 60 minutes North of San Francisco. I have had a knee replacement that has not left me as mobile as I would like. I have been in physical therapy for 10 months, "graduated", now on my own to develop stronger quads and glutes to hold my knee in place, ligaments are very stretched, and don't constrict. I have been dieting since I was a teen, used exercise to help control my weight, not as possible now. I have been very physically active all my life, riding horses, hiking, swimming, walking. Not a "gym type".

Other Information:
I am a retired art teacher, and am an avid artist, painting "En Plein Air", making jewelry, watercolor painting, travel journals, etc. I am married, my husband is supportive, but doesn't eat what I eat. He does cook his own!! We are SF Giants fans.
