Welcome to my Spark Page! This site helped me reach my goal weight in 2010. I''ve spent 5 years trying to stay as close to that weight as possible! My latest, VERY effective tool is listening to podcasts. I can listen from iTunes or a website so that means at the gym, in the car, wherever. I have a few favorites and I also co-host a show about trying to find your way with all the diet & health information out there. Join us at More about my journey: In 2010 I had lost about 30 lbs and I am still so grateful. After that time, I inched back up about 15 lbs because calorie restriction just wasn''t working for me. I continued to work out and stay very, very active. But I was not able to out-exercise my food choices. In 2012, I left Sparkpeople and spent time learning about myself and what foods, even natural "healthy" foods, put weight on me. I have been within 5-10 lbs of my goal weight for years now. I can live happily at this weight but I have realized that the support of community will help me maintain and make the best choices no matter what I''m trying to achieve. For now, it is staying vigalent, motivated and as close to goal as possible! Would love to be your motivational buddy! Visit often! We CAN do it together!!!!!!!!!!

My Goals:
To stop having to edit my Sparkpage every time I move up a few pounds again. I'd like to get around 115 - 118.

My Program:
Used to have a very strict program but I burned out. Now I'm just going to try to move more & eat better!
A Paleo approach to eating (as a guideline) has worked very well for me over the past 6 months. I've come down about 8 lbs just cutting out the processed stuff and moderate exercise.

Other Information:
I host a weekly podcast where we chronicle our journeys to goal weight. The guys who do the show with me are pretty funny and we now have a community of folks around the world that write in to the show and have started getting healthier with us.

    Thanks for the blog love! Yes, I certainly am all-in with this one, for better or worse! We pick up the keys on Wednesday and will be having painting parties until movers come for the BF's stuff on Sunday. Fun times!

    Hi Carol,

    YES! I feel the same way. Despite the latest struggles I am feeling very grateful to God for presenting me with amazing people to help me along on this journey. You are one of them:) That latest blog was what I call an angel tap. Just what I needed to hear. Thank you all.

    As for the safety thing I am not sure that I have more experience. I feel like I have so much to learn. Unfortunately life simply threw some difficult situations my way and it has made me hyper-aware of our need to protect ourselves. For me it is connected to my journey back to health. I felt like I lost a part of myself through the experience. It is coming back and it is empowering! Hallelujah!
