Hi, Sandy. 31 yr old single mother of 4 boys (with an amazing boyfriend). I lost 53 lbs about 4 years ago and got to my lowest adult weight of 143lbs I was toned and pretty happy. My highest weight was 225lbs when I was pregnant with my second child.. I lost weight the last time the old fashion way of low carb, low fat, low cal diet and excercise. It was a long journey and the most amazing thing I remember about that time was not the change in clothing sizes but the change I felt in myself. I was so empowered and motivated. For once I took care of ME!

I decided to start this up again around Christmas 2008 when I weighed in at 160lbs. I swore I would never weigh 200 lbs again so now is the time! I've fought back and forth since then. A friend of mine referred me to sparkpeople and I love it. This is the most success I have had in a long time. I'm at 156lbs today and terrified of being back where I was. My goal is to be a toned fit mommy and happy with myself again.

UPDATE 3/27/09: I've been back to the gym 5 days a week, tracking my food and using sparkpeople and I weighed in at 151.8 today! My first mini goal is to be under 150. I hope to reach my goal of 137 by the time I go to Florida in late june but we'll see. I'm just doing my best everyday the rest isn't up to me. I am excited that I won't be 160lbs when my boyfriend and I go on our 1 year anniversary trip! I am already feeling better and my clothes are fitting better, which is good because I refused to buy new ones and I felt myself reaching for the sweat pants more and more. Shorts here I come!!

update 4/19/09 I've been on spark people a month!! I've lost 7.4lbs! The convenience of the tools has helped me use my knowledge and kept me motivated!! I can really see some progress now. Especially since Christmas when I weighed 160! Which is 12 lbs more than what I am now!

Update 1/23/2010:
I'm back at 163! After months of neglecting myself and emotional eating and not putting myself first I'm back where I was. I feel horrible physically. My blood pressure is up (it's always been good) and I'm about 20lbs from where I feel I look and feel my best. I weighed in today and I'm going to be putting myself first.

My Goals:
Weight wise I would like to be around 140 lbs. I can't say exactly but I'll know when I'm there. My non-numeric goal is to wear a size 8 pair of insanely short white shorts and turn heads.

My Program:
1200-1500 calories a day. Good carbs, low sugar low fat. Cardio on the elliptical atleast 3 times a week for 50 minutes each session.
