Hey! I grew up outside Redding on Hwy. 44 between Palo Cedro and Bella Vista. Is that anywhere near where you live? I went to Chico State out of high school, graduating from Sac State. I lived in Sacramento 5 years before moving to San Francisco Bay Area in the late 70's, where I lived until the mid-80's. From there it was Hawaii, various international spots, east coast, and now AR (part time)! I saw your post on the Organic Gardening Team and couldn't resist giving you a shout-out. I'm currently living near Little Rock, AR (only a relationship would have gotten me here! heh heh).

Although I do want to lose a few pounds that I managed to pick back up over the winter, I'm like you an avid biker and hope to buff up as well with the miles!

    Blessed be!

I don't think I have replied to your comment on my blog! I'm so sorry, I think I got sidetracked! LOL!
Anyways to answer your question, I have NEVER been happy with my upper stomach. No matter what I do it is gross (to me). I would only do the surgery if after 2 years of this I still am unhappy with how my body looks. I'm hoping that I will lose enough weight that I am finally happy (or lose enough in the midsection that I am happy with how that looks). Just seems like that upper gut doesn't like to budge. It is looking much smaller and better already though. I am confident that in another 10 lbs it will be almost non-existant such that surgery isn't necessary for me to be happy with my body.
I want to also say you are doing a great job! I am sorry for such a wordy comment! LOL
